I have used both the bulk uploader and the other choice. I load photos (browse) from my computer, they are ready to upload and then they disappear?
They are all photos I have uploaded to other sites, proper format, size etc.
I have tried 3 times, tried uploading one or more and each time they either sit there or do not load or disappear.
Hi~I am on Windows XP~no problems uploading anywhere else - same photos on Conscious Living Partnership so dont know why.
Tried several times over several days.
Tried one photo - same problem so its not the amount.
Just dont get it?
Well, I just tried to upload a video (embed) as I did on CLP and again, nothing happens.
I emailed the code to myself and it was fine so I just dont get what is going on -- is it just me:(
Now I just signed out of this space and cannot `X` out of it?
This happened earlier and I had to shut down my computer in order for me to exit this site?????
Oh NO! I think you broke the Internet. Just kidding. Here are a couple of things to try. First, it would be helpful if we knew what browser you were using (I believe it was already asked). Windows XP is not a browser, it would be something like Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Firefox, Netscape. Once you have your broswer open try these tips.
1.) Clear your cache.
2.) Check you browser security settings (make this site a safe site)
3.) Also, if you are using a Firewall make this a safe site to visit.
4.) If using Pop-Blocker software make this a safe site.
If you are unsure how to do any of the above, I would need to know what browser, and version you are using and if you have any firewall, pop-up blockers or other Internet utilities running I'd need to know that as well.
LOL~yeah, break the internet-sometimes it would be nice to just go back to peeps talkin` to peeps in real time!!
ok~IE and as far as firewall, yes, pop-up blocker, yes , internet utilities, hmmm...like the electric company and telephone company...hahahahaha...just kidding..
by utilities you mean?
(i am internet saavy but that question was a first for me:)
what I dont understand is how i was able to upload photos and vids to my other site-similar to this in format, with no problems??
I'm glad you have a sense of humor. Messing around with computers, it comes in handy, for sanity's sake.
Let's try to answer the big question, "why you can upload elsewhere and not here".
"Not all website are built alike." Meaning, the languages they are written in, (i.e HTML, XML, JavaScript, ActiveX, .NET, AJAX, ect.). Some sites have added applets, extension, and plugins, you name it. Your browser(s) and or other Internet applications may not be aware of these technologies, or in most cases, set NOT to let certain items pass. Which may be the case here. If this is the case you must do something to let specific items pass.
The safest and easiest way is to make the web site in question a safe site. Why, because if you allow say ActiveX to pass it will do so for every website you visit. You may not want to grant every site this privilege. Making Sta.rtUp.Biz a safe site grants what ever Sa.rtUp.Biz has to offer the right to do so, and does not compromise your security measures set for other sites.
So first start with your browser, go to Internet, setting, security, and make Sta.rtUp.Biz a safe site. If this doesn't solve the issue, go to each Internet applications and do the same. If you are still experiencing issues, feel free to send me an email.
P.S. With regards to "utilities". I'm a geek, and sometimes use applications, tools, and utilities inter-changeably. Although I have heard if you don't pay your water utilities the lack of flowing water slows down your Internet download speed. LOL
ok, so i went to internet, settings and then security and the one that was checked off was `internet` as opposed to
`local / trusted / restricted`
Now, if i check `trusted` what happens to the `internet` check that then disappears, will that change all the other sites i go to?
and..there is an option for `custom` which has activex disabled, however i was able, once again to post pix on the other site (very similar to this-Conscious Living Partnership-which I have already mentioned)
and there is something else that says `disabled` which is `download unsigned activex controls..
so before i go messing around ( i just tried again to upload photos-no deal) my Son is coming in tomorrow to visit and he may be able to explain what all the above means.
If not, i am not sure I want to go messing around and cause any probs for the rest of my internet lifestyle:)
You're almost there. Try these instructions. With IE (browser) open, use the drop down menu, Tools->Internet Options, Then select the Security Tab. You will see 4 options `internet / local internet / trusted sites / restricted sites`. Click on the Trusted Site (green icon). Then just below that you will see a "Sites... button", click on that button.
A Trusted Sites window will popup. In the "Add this website to the zone", field box, type: http://www.sta.rtup.biz
Click the "add button" and then Okay button.... and okay, the rest of the screens to close out.
That's it, your done with your "browser settings" for making Sta.rtUp.Biz a trusted site. You would do the same (or similar operation) with your other Internet applications.
Hello...How are you loading? When I open the upload program all my pictures come up on the left side. when you highlight the file the picture shows up at the bottom. double click, or click and drag the file (not the picture) over to the holding box. Your picture should show up there. after you've put all the pictures you want in the box click on "I believe it's "GO". The upload will start. When it's done it will say your pictures are on your page now (Or something like that) It will also tell you to wait. What I've learned is that you don't have to wait. The pictures are where they're supposed to be at that time. If this is what you've been doing I'm sorry for being redundant. Good luck. Peace and love.
