A poll taken by Sta.rtUp.Biz surveyed 1,237 U.S. small business owners asking them who they will choose for the next president.

The poll, that took place Sept. 25-Oct. 1, showed that 52% were for Obama. McCain had 41% and 7% were undecided.

Sta.rtUp.biz also allowed its member base to voice their opinion on the election. Over 200 small business owners posted their comments on the matter, and here are a few of their voices:

"I don't need a president with a knee jerk reaction to every action he takes. McGAIN, yes I said McGAIN, because I see his actions with this current run for president, as another business deal or purchase of property to add to his other seven homes. Never move so quickly, everything has a process."-Katherine Brooks, Atlanta, GA

"I get tired of the Democratic doom and gloom thinking. I am voting for McCain! One thing conservatives have is a positive attitude about the resilience of our great country. We believe in the greatness of the people, not the government."-Ron Maxim, Olympia,WA

Someone said he is out of touch because he is successful now, but as a veteran I can tell you he was a normal person when he was in the military. I take that back. NOONE who hasn't served in the military has the right to be called a normal person. The sacrifice of our military monetarily and physically is way more honorable and deserving of gratitude than B. Hussein Obama's absence from his ONE JOB in his short term as a senator. He has proven that he cannot do his ONE JOB, why promote him to another more powerful position so he can prove it again?

McCain has the experience and the Maverick style to kick butt in Washington.
We will see what really happens in the voting booth, behind the curtains when white Americans say they'll vote for a black man. Many opinionists believe there is still alot of racism in our country. Can anyone really say it's all gone for sure?
Besides it's time to break the glass ceiling for women in this country. If the McCain-Palin ticket wins it will open up all kinds of new doors to women. The time is now to put an woman executive in the Executive Branch. She has run more things than Obama has. Obama has never lead anything of any size.
This is not the time for On The Job Training for a President. Obama will be another failed Presidency like Jimmy Carter's. Been there, done that.

Amen Walt. I trained many an airman in the Air Intelligence Agency on live missions, but B. Hussein Obama hasn't earned the right to do that at the top of THE most powerful country in the world.

The very last thing that this country needs is a wishy washy preaching Leader.
I am voting for McCain/Palin, I believe that they are running because they really do care about our country. They are both strong people, each in their own way.
I also feel bad that President Bush was put through so much during his 8 years of service. I sat here scared to death as 9/11 went down around me and I heard every word that came out of that mans mouth. At that time, everyone was all for him doing whatever it took to protect us, fight back... and look at those very same people now? Blaming him for everything.... I don't blame Bush or the Republican party for anything, Greedy markets that took all of their business overseas and the terrorist countries are what did this.

I not for Socialism and someone with just a bunch of nice sounding words.

He will be very bad for small business and his friends and himself were in this
mess $700 Billion x 2 trouble we find us in today.

Get goverment out of our lives and let small business blossom. Very few small
business can get any help from the goverment as the small business money goes to the Big Companies.

There was a better way out of this mess .....

I really used to like & respect McCain some years back. I used to say that if I voted for a Republican, it would probably be McCain. Unfortunately that is no longer true. He is not the same "maverick" he used to be. He tries to show glimpses of it here & there, but he just doesn't talk as straight as he used to. I am an independent & a Christian, but just because someone is a Christian doesn't make them right. Just because they say the are a Christian, doesn't mean they act Christ like. But that's a discussion for another time. People are tired of the Bush administration & the terrible, terrible job they have done, not just to the country, but regarding our standing in the world. The Bush Administration doesn't even care about the people of this country, unless you're rich. What happened to fiscal responsibility? The media talks about so much BS these days that sometimes it's hard to find the real news like, what happened to that $9 Billion that got lost in Iraq. Don't we want to know what happened to that? Why doesn't anyone ask W. about that? It's no wonder our economy is in the toilet since it's been circling the bowl for some time now.

The Presidential race is not about what Bush has done or not done. It's about experience and being prepared to take the most important job in the WORLD! HELLO!!!! B.Hussein Obama is an inexperienced socialist/liberal that will cause small business people to lose profits. He has not ever lead anything of any size! Keep that in mind. Is this the time for OJT? He's already waffling on many of his position statements he made 6 months ago. Remember, he also voted for it, before he voted against it. Religion is not the issue. It's about experience and leadership.

I dare everyone to do their homework on this financial crisis. This is about the election, but unless you have looked into it, there is no way you could know what has really happened.

how can we survive when he proposes over a trillion in more spending and 95% of all Americans are getting a tax cut? where is the cut coming from and how is he going to finance these big programs like socialized health care?

i wish people would stop listening to the biased media and quit saying McCain is another Bush.... what a bunch of hogwash.

you are right Eric. personally I would rather have a totally inexperienced non politician compared to what we have seen in the sewer of Washington the last few years..... I would take Sarah a million times over anyone I see there now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr Lon Bason, I am so totally with you on this I felt chill bumps go all over me when I read this!!! You are 700 billion times right on this one. I have said for years that there should be a major revamping of our system in Washington. Like for instance term limits for every single person elected to any position no matter what it is!!! I would rather have someone new up there every 2 years that knows absolutely nothing about Washington rather than getting all the crap we get shoved down our throat from the 545. Let clean out all of them and start over!!!!!!!!!!
