Both Obama and that other old guy, You know, the one that promised we would be hit with a major terrorist attack withing 6 months, if Obama got elected, have backed off the $250,000/yr mark. I think Obama has said now $200,000/yr and Joe Biden said $150,000/yr. Remember what Bill Clinton said as he bit his lip. "I tried as hard as I could to figure out a way to not tax the middle class, but ..." Something like this hurts me more than it does you but I just have to do it. Watch and see now. My vote would be for Sarah Palin

I agree with you, and although I'm late in this reply I can't understand how being mayor of a small town is relevant in governing the US. I live in a small town and our big issues are - do we need a stop sign at a corner, or is someones fence on the wrong side of a property line. I want someone with at least a different type of experience so Hillary works for me, in addition although the Bush years haven't been the best, the Clinton years were pretty good. Plus, I have yet to have to worry about paying taxes on over $250,000/yr & when I do I'll be happy to pay my share.

For some reason Obama and O'Biden supporters think that if you tax the wealthy and big business they will not be effected/Go figure???? Isn't that silly. All prices will go UP. All services will go UP. To save the $ the government will now take business owners must terminate employees.

It's all for better health right... Canada has been doing fine with taxes.

This is exactly my point too. I keep writing this...it is as if nobody cares. Obama looks good and talks smooth who care that his policies are going to hurt small businesses? Seems like all those on this site do not realize by the man's own words he is going to tax small businesses by 68%. How many of us will still be in business then? How many of us are going to think that nice suit and smooth talk means anything then? We will be on our way to Socialism and all of those who vote for OB will have had a hand in it. My only hope is once in the voting booth people will vote differently. If not then we will have to live with the outcome. I will be glad to know I did not have a part in it, even though it's really going to hurt my business IF OB wins.

Lord help us - NEITHER!

We must be reminded!!
...the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

Personally, I do not think that everything depends on Obama! It is very much depends on support he gets, and of course the team he chooses to govern! However, in case he fails, than I do not give to many chances to Hillary, because she already lost a nomination! Four years are sufficient enough to find a new nominee!

Excellent quote, Lon! Nothing has changed when you get right down to it.

I am Canadian and so would be unable to cast a vote for either, but I hope that Obama is voted in now, and again in four years. The mess that Bush created in 8 years can not be cleaned up in 4, and I think that most people realize that.
