Light at the End of the Tunnel My God turns my darkness into light. Psalm 18: 28
Are you walking in the dark? Are the stars in your universe covered by clouds? Is there no light at the end of your tunnel--or do you see the headlight of an oncoming train? Be still. Get quite. What's that you hear? In your darkest hours, listen to Jesus saying, "Been there. Done that!" Jesus, by the grace of God, has tasted what you are tasting, felt what you are feeling.. looked into the blackest pit and prayed. "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me" (Matthew 26: 39). Jesus knows that clutch of fear in the night, the pain of sharp rocks under bare feet while dragging up a mountainside that nobody walked before. He knows the sound of that whistle from the oncoming train! Grace is God's gift in your darkness, Jesus is grace personified. Are you going through a difficult struggle? Sit down and hold God's gift of grace in your lap. Slowly untie the ribbons. Now remove the lid on the box. Reach beneath the tissue paper. It's party time! In the middle of your trail. God has prepared a celebration. Jesus triumphed over the worst and now he will help you to do the same.
