I'm not a business person, but I'm here for my 5 min. Jackie Chan type of film..
I just got an email from the great Victorian Lady, she has got the coolest outfits!
Well I keep joining sites and I will post more about myself.
I'm also on other sites, you know, myspace, facebook, ourfilmspace.com and the sister sites, and everyone knows me as the Shelly "nun-chucks".
My dream is to someday work with Jackie Chan, no I'm not kidding, I'm very serious and besides posting on sites to see if someone can really get in touch with him or send me information on how to actually really send him my resume and pictures, I have wrote a 5 minute Jackie Chan type of film.
Yes it's legally copyrighted on WGA East. I already have people that are volunteering to act, the production company. Besides the list of items I need for the film, the two biggest walls I am coming up with is trying to get funds for this film.
I don't know the right way to approach sponsers and such without sounding stupid.
I only can write and talk from my heart, but at the sametime, from the people that have read my script, they said it was really good.
I have never gone to school for acting or anything, I am only doing everything step by step, so yes I'm looking also to do a fundraiser.
But I'm just doing things by myself and I'm trying to everyday and the other thing that is going to be crazy, in my film, since it's an action one, I don't want a stunt double, and yes in my background, besides acting, I have trained on and off in a martial art called "Capoeira", and that group, I am ceritified internationally as a white and gold cord. I also have some fight and stunt work on film experience, and having the love for acting films, of course I have the heart for it to----the next obstacle after the funds--well I want to flip off a truck over an actor's head--the thing is, a couple a weeks ago, I tried running up a wall and just couldn't do it---so I need to get the harnass and wires, and I'm looking into that.
So the thing why people love my idea for the film, one--if your from Boston and your an actor, you know what's up and what's going on and how much of the precentage of the talented Boston actor's are being used mostly as pieces of furniture on big sets----I got out of my mind just sitting there---not because I'm a prima donna---I just have alot of energy and for me to just sit there, all my energy is going to waste---second----being a woman and seeing for the past few years around here----the doors are still kind of closed to women doing the action stuff----not even having people given me audition--not even saying, ok let's just take a look and then hey--if they don't like me--then say no-----But I have to admit--I did get a few chance and I got to work with a few people from the Soprano's and Boston Comedian Lenny Clark and I was a "female" bouncer.
Third---I want this to be my calling card and I really do want to get it to Jackie Chan, because the only in the world I would love to do is to work with this man.
I would someday die a very happy women, if I got the chance to someday work with Jackie Chan.
Like I said, I don't know the proper way to do the buisness type thing to approach people, all I can do is speak from my heart, and alot of people do listen to me, just look at the other sites.
