Now in a perfect world I wish I could say that most of the online businesses out there that "guarantee" your success are legitimate companies. But you know as well I know, that just isn’t true. What a lot of people don't realize is that they are already starting out behind the eight ball by picking the wrong company. So here it is, The Five Pillars of Success that any company must have...

1. Company Management with Experience and Integrity. This step should seem obvious but it's overlooked more than you know. You should be able to at least talk first hand with the people that have already had success with this company.

2. Timing in Company/Timing in Industry. Try to find up and coming trends. The best way to start out is ask your friends. Never try to sell them, but ask if they have heard of the company/product and get there honest opinion about it.

3. Product. The product is everything. It's as simple as that. Don't believe what the companies tell you, follow your gut. I believe that there are a lot of good companies that have great products.

4. Compensation Plan. If you have researched online businesses as much as I have then you know that there are companies that will promise you success but through the most confusing compensation plan in the universe. Don't let the promise of high rewards fool you. A legitimate compensation plan is easy to understand. I also suggest you read the Policies and Procedures and remember they are written by company attorneys to protect the interests of the company.

5. A System that Duplicates. The knowledge and skills you have obtained should be easily passed down and be able to be learned by anybody.

These 5 pillars are the foundation of any successful company. I recommend just browsing a few online companies and see if you spot all five pillars or can recognize which ones are missing. If you want to see what a five pillar company looks like visit www.myez20store.com or www.ourcookiediet.com

Hi Myron,
I think you have hit the nail on the head! I just within the last three days have learned about this type of investigation and it has literally changed how I look at an opportunity. I have been online for about six years and now I think I am really getting it

The more people that learn that it takes a lot more then just throwing up a site and sitting back and racking in the money then closing the doors. Not because the product or service was bad usually it is terrific, but after building a solid residual income then having it torn away if very frustrating. I have had my knocks as I am sure that many many have here.

Once again it is nice to see real advice instead of just HYPE.

Regards
Darren C

Here are some statistics for you. As you read them, think
about what they mean to you and your success in your
business.

* Most of your income will come from 2 or three people
on your team.
* The 'average' distributor will sponsor 2.7 people into any
home based business in their entire career.
* Yellows make up 35% of the population, and do not like
aggressive people.
* Blues make up 15% of the population. They don't like
being sold.
* Greens make up 35% of the population. They don't like
pushy people.
* Reds make up 15% of the population. One-third of Reds
don't like being sold either.
* That means that 90% of the population don't like pushy,
aggressive people, or being sold.
* 97% of network marketers are part timers.

Do you see a connection among all these statements?
Do you see how knowing these facts can greatly increase
your success in a home based business?

I didn't either until I read Chapter Nine of the free
ebook Success in Ten Steps by Michael Dlouhy:

Thanks and you are right. People do have to be careful and really look into the business before they decide to join. Most companies are good, but there are those that give the "good" ones a bad name.

I have learned that the policies and procedures are written by lawyers hired by the company. Which means that the P & P's are there for the benefit of the company as well and not for us distributors that do the work! Now, I look at P & P's and help people as much as I can. Did you read your companies policies and procedures?
