Hello,
I am new and we say...green behind my ears in Networking.
I found you through a spam ( :-), yeah right, but good that I was reading that ;-)).
So the situation is that: I have some stores in the Internet, where we sell our typical products.I opened now an own group, http://alpakaandmore.ning.com and invited some people I know.

So my question, how I can find more members? Is it for example ok, when I write invides to other members in other groups or is this spaming, sorry, maybe a silly question but I am not shure about it.

I am member in another groups, is it allowed to invite there the other to my group?

Thanks if you give me as a greenhorn advices and maybe some more ;-), to get members in my side.

Thanks to all

Oliver

If you just invite random members to your group then it is spam.

I would suggest making a really nice profile that invites people to visit your site. Write a blog about business or social networking and include it as a welcome comment or a hello comment to other members. Send out 20-100 comments a day to members and that will get a good flow of people to your profile and your site.

You may place your site's domain name in the signature of you comments.

What I have been doing is leaving a comment to all new members, welcoming them to this site and inviting them to check out my page , leave me a comment and add me as a friend. I also leave messages on the forums, discussion boards and joined groups.

Good luck!
