GRiPPiES (http://www.grippiesonline.com/shop.html) no-slip adhesives stick or iron on to any fabric to make an instant safe non-skid surface! GRiPPiES are GREAT for socks, tights, stockings, slippers, even the palms of gloves and an exuberant crawler’s pant knees.

STICK ON GRiPPiES work like a sticker. Put on your socks or tights, peel a GRiPPiES sticker off the sheet and stick them right where you need traction. They work immediately! IRON ON GRiPPiES require a household iron. Cut a few shapes out, peel off the special “holder” adhesive, apply where you want traction, cover with a cloth and press with a hot iron for 45 seconds. Allow garment to cool and you’re off and running!

One sheet of GRiPPiES contains 16 individual iron on or stick on shapes, and will add traction to 2-3 pairs of socks or tights.

GRiPPiES provides a practical and economical way to add a non skid surface to all hosiery, providing users with two important things: 1) adding an element of safety and security by helping to prevent slips and falls on uncarpeted floors; and 2) encouraging “cleaner” living by making it safer to remove shoes when entering the home.

Thanks!

I love the history behind tupperware...

Tupperware was developed in 1946 by Earl Silas Tupper (1907-1983) in the USA. He developed plastic containers used in households to contain food and keep it airtight. The formerly patented "burping seal" is a famous aspect of Tupperware, which distinguished it from competitors.

Tupperware pioneered the direct marketing strategy made famous by the Tupperware party. Brownie Wise (1913-1992), a former sales representative of Stanley Home Products, developed the strategy. During the early 1950s, Tupperware's sales and popularity exploded, thanks in large part to Wise's influence among women who sold Tupperware, and some of the famous "jubilees" celebrating the success of Tupperware ladies at lavish and outlandishly themed parties. Tupperware was known -- at a time when women came back from working during World War II only to be told to "go back to the kitchen" -- as a method of empowering women, and giving them a toehold in the post-war business world. The tradition of Tupperware's "Jubilee" style events continues to this day, with rallies being held in major cities to recognize and reward top-selling demonstrators, managers and distributorships.

In 1958, Earl Tupper fired Brownie Wise over general difference of opinion in the Tupperware business operation. It is believed that Tupper objected to the expenses incurred by the jubilee and other similar celebrations of Tupperware.

Tupperware also has a history during the 1960's segregation period in the south. The liberal minded jewish women used the selling of tupperware to help distraughted black southerners and use to bring them food and supplies. Often they brought northern black woman with them and dropped them off before reaching town to prevent being manhandled by lynch mobs.

Mine is not 'service' as such; I own a film production company devoted to helping new Actors achieve the success they deserve. Finding 'buyers' [ie, investors] however, is quite a challenge. If any member has suggestions or suitable skills, perhaps we should talk.
