My name is Connie McCaffery. In 2007 I started a product line which includes products made with all natural ingredients such as Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Essential oils and others. The idea behind my product line was to offer back to basics products which were simple & good for us. I've tried many store bought products which claimed to offer various results but didn’t deliver. The majority of the time you couldn't understand some of the ingredients either.

My products line includes over 40 varieties of homemade soap which includes shaving soap and soap for dogs. I have lip balms, solid lotion bars, solid perfumes, body sprays, bath salts, all natural salves, room/linen sprays, all natural bug repellent balm, and more.

The people that should use my products are those who appreciate the goodness of simple products made with mainly natural ingredients. Don't get me wrong, I do use some fragrance oils, which are not considered all natural, but are still safe. All other ingredients I use are all natural including the essential oils.

I make many products, but would like to focus on my soaps, since they are my favorite product to make. Do you know that commercially made soap has the glycerin removed? Glycerin is what moisturizes. Homemade soap retains it’s glycerin and is therefore moisturizing to your skin. I know from experience that some commercially made soap can also irritate skin. I have not had any irritation from using my homemade soap. In fact, it’s been a long time since I purchased store bought soap. My whole family uses my homemade soap.

A customer called me the other day to compliment me on my shaving soap. It was a great feeling!

It’s a great feeling to create products with your hands that others have a need for. It’s not a novelty or gimmick. Many generations ago women made homemade soap along with other products for their family because it was a necessity. Today, we have the luxury of going to a store and purchasing what we need. We forgot and no longer appreciate, and perhaps even take for granted that simple bar of soap. In the ways of early American life, soap making was a testimony to self-sufficiency.

To focus on one of my products, my soaps: the benefits of my homemade soap are that it is made with all natural nut butters and oils. Since homemade soap retains it’s glycerin, it is very moisturizing and gentle on your skin.
