I am a new start up Small Business owner and I am having difficulting attracting potential clients through my ads. I am servicing a wide range of different types of clients, also many are of different nationanlities aaround the area of where my business in located. How can you capture someones eye to prove yourself to untimately have a customer for life?
Remove the picture in the background. It makes it hard to read and does not have to do with your service.
The second flyer is much better, but I would use more direct words as in the above recommendation. It could be confused with dry cleaning. I would also get a logo and a website to use in your promotions.
At first glance, it looks as if you are marketing a daycare or babysitting services. I watch Peter Perfect a lot and now I see what he's talking about when it comes to advertising. Don't be boring. Think of a slogan. Keep it short and to the point. It's ok to put prices on your flyer and change the font. Have someone design you a logo and wear it well DAILY! You become the flyer so that people can ask you about your business and you will have the pleasure of telling them all about your cleaning services.
Also, begin to bless people in need of your business. I know making money is the object, but you have to be blessing to receive the blessings.
I love that you made that last statement, I feel that if I don't have the passion, dedication and loyalty to my clients. Then I will not continue to be blessed and have a clear vision, I feel the home is important to your well being emotionally, mentally and physically. I know how I feel when my house is in order (especially having 3 boys), I want others to feel comportable knowing that they are being taken care of even when they don't have the time.
Hi Ebony,
After looking at your flyers, the answer is kind of simple really...your flyers are not eye catching and they are kind of boring. Also, you have to use color to get folks attention. I know you may not have the finances to do a lot but using bright neon colored paper helps and if you can afford color copies, transpose your flyers using colored text. I also think that if you revise the text and include more about what you actually do, plus make sure that your contact info stands out, you will have a lot more luck. Using car magnets also helps because once folks see your business signs, they become familiar with your business name and when they need a service like yours, you can be first or second on their minds. Word of mouth marketing helps also, so you need to have some reviews from past clients to show prospective ones or to show people visiting your website that your clients loved your service and would recommend you to others. If I were you, I would also purchase a book on marketing a small business online. If you don't have a website, you must do that asap because everyone goes online to check out service companies, even if they decide to choose one from the phone book instead. See what I mean here? A little about my expertise is that as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, we study all facets of business and organizations as they relate to all areas of productivity, employee development, business development, market research, selling techniques based on the psychology of client motivation for example, so you have to have some types of business textbooks to rely on also because whenever I have a challenge like yours, I do consult my textbooks which I kept from every class over my 14 years in college so I have a vast library at home to use to get ideas from. Cheers! Dr. Pat Woods
Ebony, you could also look into a 'joint venture' ideas: Go to daycare centers and offer to clean their place for free in return for promoting you to their clients...these clients are working moms who need help
- Go to business parks and offer a 1x free cleaning for the first 5 or so tenants that sign up
- partner with a carpet cleaning company and market to each other's clients.
Just some ideas to get the creative marketing juices flowing
