When I decided to leave my job and start my own business, i knew there would be challenges, but to my surprise it was more difficult than expected! The folks I thought were my friends, wished for me to fail,I just don't know anymore if all of this is worth it!

Trials and tribulations are what make us stronger. True friends will stand by you and new friends will arise.

The strength of your determination will be what gets you across the finish line Shawn. How strong is your determination? If it's weak or barely existent then maybe you better take your "friend's" advice and just give up the dream. But if it burns hot hot who in the hell cares what your friends think!

I have gotten rid of all my nay saying friends a long time ago.

It was the most profitable business decision I ever made. May be the same for you too.

My passison for my dream is so strong, it is all I think about, but it is also painful to know how I have been a loyal friend and to have them doubt me...well you are right who needs them, it just shows they are not true friends anyway...thanks

To take the step to financial independence is something that the majority of people will not do, it is quite natural for people to want you to fail because it makes them feel secure in their decision to be a dependent to others for their financial well being.

When you become successful they feel bad about themselves because they want to be successful on their own but are to afraid to try. So when they see you going after your dreams it is a reminder to them that THEY didn't.

Don't take it personal, be strong in your faith because the only limitations that you have are truly the ones that you put on yourself. I would take Matt's advice and get some new friends.

This is your own journey the only thing that truly matters is what YOU Believe!

Ugh, yes, everyone always told me it'd be this hard, but it never matters until you experience it first hand!

Keep trucking!

Shawn,

One of the best things that you can do is go to our video vault on this site. We have over 1000 videos to view and there are people that have gone through the same thing that you are going through. If this is your dream don't give up and keep pushing forward. I've been in recruiting for 11 + years and I started my company in Dec. 07. There were times that made me wonder if I made the right move. I stuck with it and things have been paying off!

DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM.

Hi Shawn,

Please don't ever give up on your dream. The fact that it's all you think about shows passion. Do a little bit every day and you'll get there. Doing the hard work and ignoring all the people that doubt you are what will help separate you from those that give up on their dreams. You can do it, just break it down into smaller steps and it won't feel overwhelming. Fell free to add me as a friend and let me know if I can be of any help.

Take Care,
Denise
