One Final Note:
Networking on Sta.rtUp.biz is no different from any other business networking event that you attend in person. The rules of success are the same.
1) You need to be well dressed - A nice profile and profile picture
2) You have to work the room - 100 comments a day
3) You engage before selling - Thoughtful comments
4) You ask for a business card - Make a friend request

You would never show up to an event in a tank top and start shouting out loud, "I sell insurance!" over and over again. It is rude, people will ignore you, and you will probably be escorted outside by security and told never to come back.

The same is true here.

I am in total agreement here. Excellent etiquette for social networks. Not just this one for any social network we're on. There is nothing more annoying than people filling up your page with their stuff, their promotions. That's akin to showing up at someone's house, uninvited and bringing your overnight bag!!

Taking a few seconds to read someone's profile pays dividends in the long run and really does allow you to connect.

I know everyone is here mainly to connect, build relationships and promote their business or find a business to work with. But just as we have offline etiquette which we are all very keen on observing, online etiquette is a must! When done well will, get people gravitating towards you.
