One Final Note:
Networking on Sta.rtUp.biz is no different from any other business networking event that you attend in person. The rules of success are the same.
1) You need to be well dressed - A nice profile and profile picture
2) You have to work the room - 100 comments a day
3) You engage before selling - Thoughtful comments
4) You ask for a business card - Make a friend request

You would never show up to an event in a tank top and start shouting out loud, "I sell insurance!" over and over again. It is rude, people will ignore you, and you will probably be escorted outside by security and told never to come back.

The same is true here.

Since you are the alleged expert on this network, perhaps you can answer my question.
1) 8/8 I asked how to see profiles of people who send me invites. NO ONE replied.
2) When I get email saying "To accept this friend request, visit:...", I don't know how to accept the request.
3) Is there any help on how to use this thing? I find it very frustrating.

1) 8/8 - As in any network there are active and inactive members, the best way to find active members is to see to look at the members activity.

Here's the activity rss feed for the site.

2) Once logged in, there are three icons at the very top of your page. One is you, one is mail, and the one next to that is for managing friend requests. If you click on that, then you should be able accept any requests.

3) I am one of the admins, so feel free to send me any questions that you have about the site.

I love the last paragraph about showing up in a tank top and shouting about what you sell. This is a common mistake we all make on the internet, maybe because we feel bolder because of the anonymity of it all. However, we do need to keep in mind that all our interactions on the internet are "real" and represent ourselves accordingly. Great reminder!
