I see all the featured video's and the homepage of star.tup is all US related. I'm sick of seeing some CNBC guy I don't know, and emphasis on the black enterprise that I feel is only an issue in the US, it's certainly not a problem in the UK "black" people here fit in just fine.
The video's are not only US news video's, they're talking about US businesses and business advice.
I think I'm on of the first UK members here that's tried to bring some UK light to the place. Though I'm still not 'feeling' the international 'thing'.
What are your views?
(also - I think we need a general chat forum - this isn't for this category - but where would one chat about things like this?)
I completely understand where you are coming from. I was living and building a business in Dublin and London from January 2006 through November 2007. The UK, in particular, is a cultural mix where everyone blends together in life and in business.
One thing to keep in mind here is that Sta.rtUp.biz just launched the first version of the site in May, just two months ago. For all of May, our site had a little over 10,000 page views. This month we will go beyond 1,000,000. Everyday, myself, my partners and my staff are constantly shaping the site as to the demands of the members.
Just this past week we had a meeting on international members and how to appeal to them.
What are some good international business and entrepreneur television shows that have a wealth of video clips that I can build a section around?
Honestly, I spent most of my time watching Top Gear, SkyNews and Big Brother when I was living in London.
I think anything on the net has to be worldwide compatible, but I note the lawyer is USA and most of the others. I am not sure that is a bad thing but you can only bring in your creativity and share & network and show off good ole UK.
I guess I will be showing off little NZ and maybe even sharing some lovely photos.
P.s I see there is general chat forum, maybe it was added after this?
