The Law of Attraction principle states that like attracts like, whether positive or negative, and it is always in effect whether you are aware of it or not. This principle, taught in the book and movie The Secret, has been around for hundreds of years. Recently we’ve seen this information everywhere—at the bookstore, in the media, on the Oprah, Ellen, and Larry King shows. It has now been proven that the Law of Attraction is as real as the Law of Gravity or the Law of Relativity. We are finally discovering the power that has always been inside of us, waiting to be released, like the genie in the bottle. Learn how to harness the power of The Law of Attraction in your life and business and watch your client base grow....

Six ways you can use the Law of Attraction to attract all the customers you desire:

1) Be, Do, Have

Live from a place of abundance, thinking and acting like a person who has already achieved the level of success you are seeking (i.e. test drive your dream car, etc.). Immediately replace any thoughts of negativity or scarcity with thoughts of abundance and prosperity.

2) Set SMART Goals

Goal setting is imperative to success in any venture. Use the SMART goal method:

S = specific
M = measurable
A = attainable
R = realistic
T = timely

Write your short-, medium-, and long-term goals on “goal cards” and read them first thing in the morning and last thing at night before you go to sleep. Believe that you have already achieved them.

3) Visualize

Create a “vision board” by clipping out pictures from magazines and attaching them to a poster board. Hang your board on the wall above your desk or wherever you will see it every day. Use images of things you would like to have (i.e. your dream house, your dream car, etc.) and do (travel, adventure, philanthropy, etc.) Relax your body and, in your mind’s eye, visualize yourself successfully doing the things that will bring success to you (i.e. meeting new clients, accepting checks, etc.).

4) Emotionalize

Generate the feeling and emotion of how it feels to experience the things that you desire (i.e. imagine you are walking through your dream home...imagine what it looks like, feels like, smells like, etc.). Practiced regularly, this exercise will raise your vibration and enable you to attract your desires. Hold that positive feeling/vibration for as long as you can, especially while doing your visualization.

5) Use Affirmations

Used consistently, affirmations can change your thought patterns from negative thoughts (stress, worry) to positive thoughts (abundance, success). An example of an affirmation is “My life is abundant” or “I attract all the customers I desire.” Use these affirmations several times daily and watch them come to life.

6) Gratitude

Give thanks daily for all you have. Don’t forget the little things--like finding a parking spot at the mall or for a beautiful sunny day.

People world-wide are now learning that they can gain control over their lives by utilizing the power of their minds. The following are some interesting related facts:

• It is said we use just 5% of the unfathomable brain power we possess.

• People in growing numbers are learning how to tap into that other 95% by utilizing the 6 simple tools listed above.

• Personal development is a billion dollar industry that is growing exponentially world-wide, even in the face of the current economic down-turn.

• Millions of people are looking for home-based businesses, realizing that the only real security to be found in these uncertain financial times is by taking charge of their own financial future and working for themselves.

With 2009 upon us, take the time to ask yourself....what does the New Year have in store for me? Will I achieve my desires, both personally and professionally, or will I find myself in the exact same position or worse at this time next year?

If you have not yet seen the results you are seeking or have not yet realized the dreams you have for yourself, maybe it’s time to consider a different approach. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. It is also said that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear...

If you’re ready for different results and this subject resonates with you, I invite you visit my website www.lifepathtofreedom.info to learn more an amazing company and business grounded in these principles. We use these principles daily to achieve success in both our personal and business lives and I’ve seen them work in the lives of many.

What will you attract in 2009?

I am presently reading The Secret. I find it almost spooky to have received this email. I am already incorporating the secret into my business dealings. THANK YOU for the reminder. I am very grateful to hear from others that believe.

Thanks for posting this. Nothing new to me here but it's a well written essay highlighting some powerful tools successful entrepreneurs have used for decades. I remember when I was working for Mime-Sherelle Graphics in Chicago, mentored by Marge Skalecki -- the lady with the little office and six different businesses in it who taught me how to become a typesetter and gave me the most information on self employment than anyone ever has. Most of these were among Marge's suggestions.

Gratitude and spirituality are one thing. Another that produces tangible goodwill is gratitude to the real people around you when they do anything extra or special. For some reason in this society, criticism is dished out constantly but compliments are hoarded as if you had to pay to give one.

You don't. It costs the same to notice something cool someone did for you and go "Thanks for the interesting comment on my site" or even "Hey, you write well, this is good," as to nitpick and run down something about it.

Most people are starved for appreciation.

It's just the way things are, the way society and culture and most jobs, especially white-collar jobs, work. Compliments are treated with suspicion as if you must be buttering them up to get something or sell them something. Sometimes people even reject them.

It's been so long since they got complimented that they don't know how to respond, it's not the everyday script to get a pleasant comment. It has to be untrue or it has to be that you're buttering them up because you want something -- even and especially when I don't. After a few times, they get used to my personality.

The result is that I wind up in warmer social networks and get more compliments and support.

So when you're setting up that collage of images of success, don't forget to put images that mean you're surrounded by people you like whose company you enjoy. Don't limit those to just things you can buy. What you do comes back to you three times -- and when that's making the world a bit warmer, your own part of it becomes very friendly and appreciative.

How odd man! I'm naturally full of compliments and nobody ever thinks I'm buttering them up, which I'm not. I'm one of those very frank people. Being tactful takes some effort. So all my compliments are received as exuberant and sincere words. Could it be because I don't live in the US and in the US culture?

i live on the Southern most island in the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this article... I spend a great of hours in front of my computer in my volunteer work as well as my business. I found it useful to put my affirmations on my desk top as well as my screensaver.

As much as we hear this information, it is still good to read it again. Especially positive affirmations. Sometimes you don't have a good sales day, but you had something else happen that was positive. If you're having a slow day, make use of it to email a customer, a prospect, or someone you haven't heard from in a while. Better yet, send a letter or a card. Remember those things? Getting a "I'm thinking of you" is a great way to make someone feel good - and it doesn't have to be associated with your business either. Treat others, the way you would want to be treated. So think about what you are going to do or say before you do it and make sure that you would appreciate it if you were on the receiving end! Here's to a great 2009!

Thank you for sharing this reminder. I am reading through 'think and grow rich' for the ? time because I learn something new each time. I too have a dream board with my dream home upon it which is the home I live in and have a strong passion for remaining here. One of the reminders from 'think and grow rich' was faith and what a big role this plays. I am passionate about faith and visualization and can attest to this power in my life. Again thank you.
