Leaving MDAnderson to go home

---------------------------------------------------------------

July 9th

After getting diagnosed yesterday at MDAnderson, I decided I was not going to hide the fact. I am really scared for my life and for the life of my baby. At the same time, I can not help but to worry how people will look at me with only one breast. They are also going to have to remove a large portion of my back. The back skin and the back muscle will be used to cover the hole where my left breast and chest muscle will have used to have been.

The good news for everyone reading this is that I should be back from the hospital by Monday and able to work from my computer out of my bed. I am a strong willed woman and I plan to heal quickly. The other partners of the company met last night and decided to donate a portion of all the profits to breast cancer research. I cried when I saw that they had placed the pink ribbon on the logo today.

My twitter account, that was initially used for updating on Sta.rtUp.biz, is also going to be used for updates on my battle, which I will win. Please take a moment to sign up to follow me on Twitter and tell your friends about it. I would like to share my story every step of the way.

MDAdnerson has informed me that I will be the 6th pregnant woman in medical history to have a mastectomy. They also told me that there has been less than 100 documented cases of pregnant women with cancer since they started tracking in 1991. I hope that by getting my story out, that I will be able to connect with some of the other 98 or so women that have gone through what I am going through now. This is the only way that I will find answers because the doctors say they can give no answers with so few statistics.

So please share this post with everyone you know. Hopefully, the power of business networking can lead to me finding answers and spreading awareness at the same time. Little did I know that a few weeks ago while watching how Twitter was changing the way we see Iran, that I would be using it to find answers and support in the fight of my life.

My surgery is at 6am Friday morning. I should be able to give a twitter update in the evening or dictate it to a family member to tweet it for me. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this and for forwarding this message on to all of your contacts.

Natalie, I wish you all the best but I do wonder if you've really thought this through and looked at other options. I know many people who have reversed cancer without the medical model. The Cancer Society will have you convinced there are no cures other than cutting off the offending cancer.

Can you not take a few days or a week to do some further research? Take a look at Suzanne Sommers for famous example of someone who cured her breast cancer. Cutting off a cancer tumor will not get rid of the reason it grew in the first place! I beg you to reconsider at least for a few days to look at options so you don't regret it later.

I'm truly sorry you are going through this situation and wish you and baby all the best.

I am praying for you and your baby. Please!! Do not "dis" what your docs tell you to do as far as chemo or radiation. Cancer is a VERY serious disease (you don't need me to tell you that) but I see some posting about not taking any traditional treatment. While I respect their opinions on why they or someone they know chose that option, I can tell you from first hand experience (taking care of my hubby when he was stage 4), that chemo combined with natural treatments is your best bet. You MUST get rid of this and unfortunately, the best treatment would be what your docs tell you. I am not in the medical field, but I've seen too many people die from not doing chemo or radiation, because they did not believe in it. These people were in my family, and I have to say that while the treatments may make you sick and tired, it is far better to do what is necessary so you can beat your disease and live a long healthy life with your child.

Blessings my dear!

I just saw a site on Linked In ...www.curabase.com....Collaborative Database for Accelerated and Improved Cancer Drug Development. I am not sure of its relevance....but I wanted to pass it along. And of course the Dana Faerber Cancer Institute in Boston has a great website and amazing Docs as well.

Kind Regards,

Hi Marie-anne,

Just curious -- by what means did your parent overcome the illness?

Hi Natalie

I had Breast Cancer in 1992 had a double Mastectomy and the removal of the lymphatic glands under my arms and reconstruction in 1993. My thoughts go out to you. By talking about is the best way of dealing with it. I treated it as a joke, like you I also told every one about it. I am still cancer free. I believe that it was Gods way of giving me a second chance to life.

Regards

Pat

Natalie, You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Do a lot of research as to what you can do.
My husband is a cancer survivor...he has an e-report that many have asked for as to what he did
in his fight. You are welcome to a copy. He was told that 100% is would be back. He is now 8 years out. Healthy and doing great and still using supplements that he was told by a scientist that he should take for the rest of his life.

Very Best Wishes and do keep this forum advised as to your progress.

Hugs,
Peggy

Dear Natalie,

I have prayed for you to receive Divine healing at all levels, particularly in relation to your breast. My wife and I do "energy surgery" to help release the energetic cause of people's "problems", health issues included. You can learn more about that at www.lifeenergycoaching.com.

A few helpful thoughts:

- It is important that you don't "declare war" on your cancer. What you resist persists. It is better to accept that you have it now, and that your body is telling you something about the way you have viewed yourself and others.
- Breast cancer usually reflects anger or resentment in relation to lack of nurturance when very young. This is likely to have come through from your ancestors in your DNA/RNA but, because of this, you are likely to have attracted a similar experience when you were little, probably in relation to your Mom.
- Human beings attract what we experience through our consciousness, in particular the electro-magnetic energy of our memories. As we go through life we attract more and more matching energies from those we meet and even who we think about. This is explained in a video on our home page.

Illness reflects non-love based intentions that we have not learned to release. Call us at 818-247-2698 if you'd like to talk and learn more. NO illness is a death sentence, once you understand what it is showing you and how to release it from your system.

With love and light,
Murray

Natalie, my friend back in 1988 was diagnosed with breast cancer whilst she was pregnant almost in her early 8th month. She had the surgery and then delivered a healthy baby girl (her youngest child two boys earlier) a month later. She was a strong willed woman. I am certain Natalie you will make through this and when you see your little bundle of joy all of this pain will be behind you. Ultimately it is your strength (in every way) and those around you that will help you get through this trying time.
Be in touch and if you need to talk you have all of us, the members and your friends too, here and at Ecademy.
Love and lots of hugs
Jessie
