DEAR NATALIE,WE'VE NEVER MET OR CORRESPONDED TO EACH OTHER BEFORE.MY NAME IS JAMES POOLE. THIS STORY I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU WAS PART OF MY YOUNG LIFE OK.MY MOTHER HAD PASSED AWAY IN 1970 OF WHAT I WAS TOLD PNEUMMONIA,THAT LEFT MY FATHER ME AND MY TWIN BROTHER AND MY OLDER BROTHER RALPH IN THE HOUSE NOW. RALPH MOVED OUT A YEAR LATER TO GO TO COLLEGE SOMEWERE IN N.H.,SO MY TWIN BROTHER TIM AND I AND OUR FATHER MOVED IN WITH OUR GRAND PARENTS,FIVE YEARS HAD PASSED SINCE OUR MOTHER WENT ON TO HEAVEN,THE YEAR IS 1975,AND OUR FATHER IS IN THE BOSTON HOSPITAL WITH CANCER IN HIS CHEST NEAR HIS HEART,SIX MONTHS WENT BY HE CAME HOME FOR A MONTH.THEN HE STARTED BLEEDING IN HIS CHEST SO MY UNCLE RUSHED HIM BACK TO THE HOSPITAL IN BOSTON THEY STOPPED THE BLEEDING.ANOTHER TWO MONTHS WENT BY.IT'S NOW A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS WERE ARE WAITING OUTSIDE FOR THE SCHOOL BUS HERE COMES OUR UNCLE PULLS INTO THE DRIVEWAY FAST,RUNS INTO THE HOUSE FIVE MINUTES LATER OUR GRAND FATHER COMES OUT AND TELLS THE BUS DRIVER WE AREN'T GOING TO SCHOOL THAT DAY.WE WENT INTO THE HOUSE AND OUR GRAND MOTHER IS CRYING, WE SIT ON THE FLOOR ON ONE SIDE THEN THE OTHER,SHE SAYS BOYS I'M SORRY BUT YOUR FATHER HAS PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING, AND WE CRIED FOR A SHORT PERIOD BUT IN THAT TIME I REMEMBERED MY FATHER WOULD SAY BOYS DON'T LET PEOPLE SEE YOU CRY IT SHOWS WEAKNESS OK.SO FROM 1975 TIL NOW 2009 I'VE SURVIVED ALOT EVEN HAVING A STROKE IN 2007 AND I'VE OVER COME THAT BATTLE MYSELF WITH STRONG GOALS AND A STRONG HEART AND WILL TO GET BACK TO WERE I WAS BEFORE THE STROKE.SO I SAY IF YOUR A STRONG WOMEN LIKE TO SAY YOU ARE YOU WILL ALSO SURVIVE THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE YOUR WONDERFUL BABY BRING HER OR HIM SMILING FACE INTO THIS WACKED OUT WORLD WE ALL LIVE AND SURVIVE IN TIL IT GETS STRAIGHTENED OUT SOME YEAR FROM NOW I EVENTUALLY HOPE IT WILL.YOU HAVE MY PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS THAT YOU WILL PULL THREW IT ALL VERY WELL THANK YOU. Hi...

My name is Ian - and sorry - I am a guy - but I had testicular cancer in 1988.

I had a friend (Karen) who had cancer of the womb and was pregnant at the same time.
She lost the baby - when the cancer was cut out....... BUT

The good news is that she has since had two (naughty) sons and one (beautiful) daughter...

I met them at a wedding recently - and the oldest son was best man at the wedding .........

They are all healthy and the boys are still naughty - and the daughter is even more beautiful....

My advice is to follow your heart - and you will be fine........

Everyone can wish you well - but only YOU can beat it.........

GO Girl........ everyone is with you all the way

On my Twitter channel, a follower sent me this web site Hope for Two at http://www.pregnantwithcancer.org/ They list themselves as the pregnant with cancer network.

This looks like a real "together" organization and offer free help and support.

Natalie,

My mother is a survivor of breast cancer and so far she has been cancer free for a few years after she had her radical mastectomy. When she was first diagnosed I forget how many years ago she needed a lymphectomy with radiation treatment on the side where they found the cancerous tumour. But some years later the cancer showed up again so a radical mastectomy was performed w/ chemo. So far she has been cancer free for number of years, sorry again I don't remember all the timing of this, but recently a marker for cancer showed up in her yearly testing. They did a bone scan last week and she was clean. They are going to do an MRI next week and we all hope that she is shown to be cancer free. I know from my mother that this situation can be a great trial. As a devout Christian I can only offer up my prayers that the Lord will see you through this huge trial for you and your family. My mom is a fairly private person so I don't know if you would be open to communicate but I will forward your story to her.

Hi Natalie,

I only saw your Ecademy email asking me to check out your free life membership to Sup.Biz clicked on your twitter link to see your page & quite surprised to see the hospital picture. I must say that the picture on twitter page will move a lot of people. Very sorry for the pains you must going through but you are indeed a surviver but am sure God has not finished with you yet on this earth. He gave you that beautiful angel & there is a purpose for that. I will continue to offer prayers for you to go through this recuperating journey which starts from today.

A word of support for you: My late grand mother had her breast removed in early 70's but she lived to the age of 92 years before she died & not certainly as result of the her cancer which was noticed on time before her breast was removed like yours so you have every reason to thank God but i have to ask you for one favour. You must now find out the types of food you need to be eating from now. I say this because most food we eat in the western world are all processed & canned. My Grand mother was in Africa & it's all about organic food. No processed food, no preservative & no add on but straight from the farm.

Please go to www.knowthecause.com the most tragic part of this story is that it could be prevented or reversed. Surgery/radiation is the last choice anyone should choose

Dear Natalie,

My wife is a 6 yr - breast cancer survivor (she too, had a latissimus flap breast reconstruction of one breast) and my 9 year old son is a brain tumor survivor for 1 1/2 years now, so I know from the "caregiver's point of view" what you are going through. While it is not exactly an easy road, it is quite doable with the right attitude and good doctor care. The key is doing your exercises religiously and eating healthy. As much as I've learned to not like dealing with "some" doctors, follow their advice, as they really do have your best interests in mind.

I will follow your progress with great interest and give you as much support as possible through a medium such as this one. Of course, you will also be in our thoughts and prayers.
