July 9th

After getting diagnosed yesterday at MDAnderson, I decided I was not going to hide the fact. I am really scared for my life and for the life of my baby. At the same time, I can not help but to worry how people will look at me with only one breast. They are also going to have to remove a large portion of my back. The back skin and the back muscle will be used to cover the hole where my left breast and chest muscle will have used to have been.

The good news for everyone reading this is that I should be back from the hospital by Monday and able to work from my computer out of my bed. I am a strong willed woman and I plan to heal quickly. The other partners of the company met last night and decided to donate a portion of all the profits to breast cancer research. I cried when I saw that they had placed the pink ribbon on the logo today.

My twitter account, that was initially used for updating on Sta.rtUp.biz, is also going to be used for updates on my battle, which I will win. Please take a moment to sign up to follow me on Twitter and tell your friends about it. I would like to share my story every step of the way.

MDAdnerson has informed me that I will be the 6th pregnant woman in medical history to have a mastectomy. They also told me that there has been less than 100 documented cases of pregnant women with cancer since they started tracking in 1991. I hope that by getting my story out, that I will be able to connect with some of the other 98 or so women that have gone through what I am going through now. This is the only way that I will find answers because the doctors say they can give no answers with so few statistics.

So please share this post with everyone you know. Hopefully, the power of business networking can lead to me finding answers and spreading awareness at the same time. Little did I know that a few weeks ago while watching how Twitter was changing the way we see Iran, that I would be using it to find answers and support in the fight of my life.

My surgery is at 6am Friday morning. I should be able to give a twitter update in the evening or dictate it to a family member to tweet it for me. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this and for forwarding this message on to all of your contacts.

Medicine has come a long way & I'm sure they will do everything they can to protect your baby. Please take care of yourself first before worrying about updating Twitter, ect.

I was diagnosed with an agressive form of squamous cell carcinoma last August and found an incredibly knowledgeable and innovative clinic in Reno that's been in operation for 40 years. The owner is Dr Robert Eslinger DO and has had a tremendous rate of success treating women with breast cancer issues. My husband is a cancer survivor but to be carrying a life and having to deal with saving your own is going to be a tough job. Thank goodness you are a woman! Know that you are safe, you are strong and you are needed. Do not give up the fight. I believe if you have the breast removed and do not undertake radiation or chemo you will be okay. Eat lots of leafy green vegetables and get your alkaline level up to 7.4. I have written a book about food and cancer if you are interested www.circleoflife.co.nz

I'm so sorry to hear this. God Bless you and your family. I'll post to all of my community's and websites. I lost my grandmother to Cancer 3 years ago and it's so sad. You will always be pretty and loved for the wonderful person you are. Your courage and strength will help others as you wake up knowing how special you are to everyone around you and the world as you know it. Father, no one can know except You how this precious daughter is feeling right now. Your Word says that You alone know our trials and have felt them one by one, You have also taken this cancer to the Cross with a stripe layed upon Your back and we curse this spirit of infirmity and we cast it out and back to the dry places in Jesus name...Father, we ask in faith believing that we receive that which we have asked and we praise and thank You that she is free from the residual effects of this cancer and it is no more to be found in her body.

We cover her and the baby with the blood of Jesus and we pray for a safe procedure and also for a safe and prosperous delivery of this baby, no weapon formed against either of them shall be allowed to prosper and we just stand firm on that Word and praise You as she conquerors what the devil was trying to steal from her........

Lord Jesus, be with her while she is on the operating table and allow her to feel Your precious peace and warmth ... In Jesus name we pray......Amen...
