Now that the new president elect is making himself comfortable in the White House, we would like to know how small business owners feel about the future under his leadership?
Will your business flourish under him or get hurt by new taxes? Will he end up making a positive impact on the nation and the world?

no one knows what Barry will do when he's prez including Barry!
All I and everyone else knows (the market has fallen 2000 points since his election; 10 years of gains wiped out in 2 months) is that now that the liberal left controls both congress and the white house, the dems will finally be able to do what they've always wanted... control the country thru taxation and regulation. I'm trying to figure out how I can get Bailed out.

Unfortunately, it's going to be a cold day in hell before the tax and spend policies that Obama has in store for this country will be of any benefit to my business. At this stage it's battin down the hatches time for me and mine - just look at the reaction of the market. You don't think that the uncertainty is only being generated by the banking hiccup? Anyone who is in business is reallocating their finances to be poised and ready for the barrage of tax increases and spending increases that are forthcoming. His positive impact? Well, the Kenyans are now our kindred spirits - oh, and the British press is putting him up to Princess Diana status. Europe seems to really like him - unfortunately, it's probably because they see him as a pacifist that will be endearing to the outdated systems of government under which they are currently ensnared. Misery does love company.

Doubtful or at least I think it will be short term--Look at his friends, his ideas and the way he's voted...now I hope for our nations sake he will govern from the center....but I'm sure he'll try to push his radical leftist ideals our way...like re-designing our flag, national anthem, freedom of speech. I just pray that God and the "centrist"

I am so happy for all my U.S. friends, and the rest of us. I am sure we are all going to be fine, I feel next year is going to be one of the best years we have had in years.
I don't think everything is going to be fixed in one year, but I have a feeling we are the road in the right direction.
But for me money isn't all that important, mind I have lost a lot of my RRSP's and won't be able to retire like I had hoped, but I try my best not to worry about that to much.
We all been having a hard time since the shock of 9/11, and we all deserve a break.
I feel Bush jumped the gun going to war, I feel he has just added to our pain.
I realizes he wanted to do something, but he and his advisers clearly did not think of what they were doing. Cause and Effect.
Now we all have a hell of mess to clean up and somehow put a stop to loosing of our good young people.
We "All" have lost enough!
I just "Pray" Obama can fix some of it and fast.

I don't know....quite frankly I don't really concern myself with it. He is just a figure head....just like all the others....it all balances itself out that's the way the divine has planned it. I look for opportunity who ever is in office.
With change comes opportunity....
Look at my new business ....its a start towards a solution to a huge problem THE US health care system is and has been in shambles. It's a big big problem.
Well, with any big big problem. theres a big big solution. How about offering a free health care benefit!
That's right you give away a free health care benefit that benefits everyone from the rich to the poor and when they use the benefit you get paid. Think I'm struggling to give this free health care benefit away....Not! I can't give em away fast enough! E-mail me if you want to know more....rich.ward3@gmail.com....I almost don't want to share it with anyone....but what the heck...theres more than enough to go around.
When Obama is in office some good will happen, and some bad will happen. Look for the solution to the bad and figure a way to further the good.....he can only do so much damage if that's what folks might be worried about....
Always remember this "we the people put him in office" ..."we the people can take him out of office".
Get a true professional (once you get making huge sums of money) to structure your business so that your barley taxed.
Remember the truly rich think like this>>>Control everything....own nothing. In other words structure your business so that the business owns everything, and you own nothing or very very little...whilst you get to enjoy the great pleasures and treasures that is under total legal protection of the business world.
Manipulate and take advantage of the laws that exist for business owners. The tax code in this country was written for business owners,,,not the average joe. The average Joe Gets screwed no matter who is in office.

I feel as a business owner....that he is supportive of the small business owners. However, I don't feel tax will be a problem for us. Also, he is aware that, the small businesses....help to create a sizeable amount of jobs.

Being the owner of two small up and coming businesses I don't feel the need to truly succeed. If I strive to make something of myself, make enough money to buy that big house on that large plot of land then I will have to share my hard earned money with others that would rather not strive. If I make enough money to hire help, then I'm making too much money under the Obama plan. So I just now want to "make enough" but not to much. Being that I owe the IRS for my husband and I making to much money last year and the year before I would fear that I would never be able to afford the taxes if I reach that $250,000 if I can't afford the taxes at $75,000 in a two income household. This year I made more then last year and I don't get tax breaks like insurance, child care and a few others so what the hell am I going to have to pay?
Sure you are going to say "you are one of the people this is going to help" but your wrong. When I started these businesses I did so that I was in control of what kind of money I brought into my family so that I can get the house I want with the huge lot of land so that I can live the life I want. Why should I strive to make that big amount of money so I can have what I want without the debt that goes with it when I'm going to have to share it with someone that won't strive for the same.

Just for the record...
I'd like to say that I am concerned about the growing attitude in this country
that because you do well financially, or better than most - you should be treated differently
or even punished just because you have a large income.
This attitude is dead wrong! To make things worst - many people believe that they're "entitled"
to a "good job" throughout their lives. The concept of "reward for performance" doesn't even enter the minds of most people.
They have no concept, nor do they care how their paychecks are actually generated.
They believe that because they "show-up" they deserve the best that life has to offer...
This attitude is also flawed.
If anything - we really need to go to a Flat Tax System, and treat everyone fairly.
10%, 20% whatever. If your income is low - the amount you pay will be low.
If your income is high - the amount you pay will be higher, but the percentage will be the
same as every other US Citizen. It's fair and no one's punished for doing well.
