Now that the new president elect is making himself comfortable in the White House, we would like to know how small business owners feel about the future under his leadership?
Will your business flourish under him or get hurt by new taxes? Will he end up making a positive impact on the nation and the world?

I am encouraged about the future with President-Elect Obama. He was able to harness the power of technology during his campaign which successfully helped him become elected. A fresh approach and new way of thinking is just what this country needs.
As to whether or not we will flourish is anybody's guess. Taxes are a way of life and a necessary evil. Higher or lower taxes really won't matter if we don't get our financial houses in order. The burden of debt is what is impacting the citizens of this country. As far as him making a positive impact on the nation and the world, I think he has already done that by becoming the nations first African American President. He can't solve all the problems that most of us have been guilty of creating for ourselves. All he can do is continue to be a person of integrity and do the best job he can with the deal he has been dealt. May God bless him in this undertaking. Consuela

anything, no make that anyone......is better than the fiend who has burned so very darkly in the halls of the white house for the last eight years. Obama will be a magnet for wonderful new things, businesses, and experiances for us all.

I am not sure how to react yet. He has not applied any emphasis on small business. Only a little on middle income families. He has put NO emphasis on families that are poverty stricken and cannot even afford food, let alone homes. How about a single person who has been unable to obtain employment for this past year, does not have dependent children and cannot get any kind of welfare or government help. Where do they go? How about small families with small children and only one income that cannot make the rent and car payments? Where is everything going to end up? My small business will not affect us too much because we are on fixed income, but even that has dwindled this year. I do not feel sorry for the big man that makes over $250,000. The millionaire CEO's and executives of these failed businesses should be ashamed.

I am not afraid at all! I believe that President Obama's plan will only help me as a middle class individual with an income of the same. I just can't understand why people are so afraid of him. People in the higher tax brackets might be..but come on! It is time the middle man/woman got a break for a change!

I feel if the economy improves my business will do better, I am very confidant he will do well, can only hope, can't do any worse than Bush for sure. I am thrilled with him as the new President of the US, its good for the US and the world. I am a Canadian, but even if I had to pay more tax, with a better economy my business would absolutely flourish, it is effected by the down economy, I have hope.

Since President Elect Obama has been deemed our next president, he has inspired me to follow my dreams and I am doing just that. I want to host my own talk show. I have started interviewing guests and you will soon see them on you tube, my facebook and on the talk show's web site. My talk show will be different and like none other, so thank you Obama. Yes I can!!!!
I am going to flourish, so instead of talking worrying about taxes, make sure you are in the right business for yourself. This is a time of reflection and restructuring. You want to be successful, take your mind off of money and help the president solve some of these problems we are faced with, then you will become rich.

You know what I don't understand, is how people are so quick to jump on the defense that OBAMA is going to fail at everything, that he does not know what he is doing, and the other candidates would have been so much better than he.
When I hear this kind of negativity from people who really are not looking at the big picture it makes me wonder where they have been living for the last eight years and whether they were touched by the unsuccessful Bush Administration.
If Bush were given another opportunity to stay in office for an additional four years considering what has happened with his administration, could you honestly say you would vote for him again? Would you be will to suffer some more under his leadership? I personally feel that OBAMA could not possibly do any worse than Bush has done or that McCain would have done if he were elected.
I have heard some very disturbing things since OBAMA has been elected our President, which makes me ashamed. Ashamed because we are living in the year 2008 and it is still racism in this country and still burning crosses with stuffed black dolls hanging from nooses placed front lawns of African American people and the nastiest thing I have heard of is pizza boxes filled with feces.
I really do not understand the mindset of people and the nerve they have of thinking the country is destroyed because we now have a Multiracial African American President. I wish people would stop hiding behind all of the negativity they pretend to have about tax cuts and raised taxes and say what they are really afraid of.
OBAMA, whether he is African American or Caucasian, he has done what no other person has done for quite some time, he has given Americans, Black, Caucasian, Latino, Asian and those in between, the ability to hope for a brighter future for the next four years. NO, it will not be easy for him or for us because he has eight years of mess to clean up but I believe he will get it done and do the best he can do to keep his promises he has made to the American people.
He is not a stupid man, he is highly intelligent and well educated. He has been smart enough to surround himself with people that know more about certain situations than he does and is building a strong foundation, Administration, in the White House and for those American who support him fully.
So for those of you how cannot find anything else to do but bash this man, BE BLESSED AND BE THANKFUL THAT YOU ARE IN BUSINESS AND MAKING A LIVING because there are many people who have loss their homes, are hungry, and there are those who just could not take the pressure anymore and gave up by killing themselves and their entire family. So do not, do not complain because what GOD has blessed you with, HE will most certainly take it away if you think you have been successful on your own without HIM. If you really think about it at some point in your success, you called on HIM for help. HE blessed your hands, your mind, and your body to do what you do to make your dreams and aspirations come to pass, come to light.
I apologize to those this may offend, it was not my intentions however, I think this needed to be said. I also would like to apologize for taking this a little off subject but if you really think about it and apply it, you will see that it is right on topic.

Well the republicans and i quote defied socialism many people think Obama going to bring socialism well its already here introduced just look at whats developed there going to give 700 billion to the rich and there habits with tax payer money. The republican senator who got endited on 4 counts of fraud felony charges gets sentence 100 days and guese what when he gets out he gets a $150,000 dallor yearly pesion. Meril Linch CEO gave himself a and i quote 47 billion dallor bonus in 2007 when he was suppean to apear before the republican congress they never question him on that money and he walked why because he founded there elections you scratch my back ill scratch your back. The corruptive interstructure of amerca needs change for our childrens sake we need to stop wars for political favors or greed. And not sell our jobs to some foriegn country. My responce is Obama already is history but he can not do it alone he needs support for this crises. Obama faces big challenge and many will disagree but it will be whats best for america. Many people already lost there jobs like me and are feeling the affects of this ecomic melt down i pray for this country because theres no other country in the world like america but we have to some time catch the bus like everyone els and i quote.

Obama cannot make the future brighter for my business. Success comes from the inside, and the only person who can make the future brighter for my business is ME. The good thing about my business is the worse things get out there, the better things go for my business...to a certain degree.
