Now that the new president elect is making himself comfortable in the White House, we would like to know how small business owners feel about the future under his leadership?
Will your business flourish under him or get hurt by new taxes? Will he end up making a positive impact on the nation and the world?
The color of Obama's skin has nothing to do with it. Alan Keyes would have been a wonderful candidate. It isn't the color of ones skin, it is what they believe. how they will govern. Obama's words reveal what he is and what he believes.
I agree Dean and Gladys. Ones' skin color is less important than ones' actions and beliefs. Personally, I think all the attention given to President Elect Obabma being an African American is pointless beyond the historic aspect of it. In the end, what he is an American and what he does for the country is the only important matter.
There's no denying that for whatever reasons this country chose a change by electing President Elect Barack Obama and we will see what this holds in store for us as a nation.
One thing I am certain of is that ultimately only I am responsible for whether my business succeeds or not, and blaming the current or past presidents for my business challenges is really a cop-out to taking hold of the reins of my business and steering it to its destination.
Does Obama make the future brighter for your business and the world? Maybe or maybe not, but I make my future brighter for my business and the world. That's why they call you the CEO.
Instead of debating what a president will do for your business, we should be doing something for our business. What about the way he marketed his campaign? We could learn alot from that alone.
Did you know that Obamas' use of Social Media was the most successful campaign ever in history? WHY Should YOU Care? Well if you think that Social Media does not apply to your business then you're living in the stone age and are not in touch with the market of the future. 30% of buying decisions today are based on word-of-mouth and Social Media plays a big part of that.
If you are one of the people who are shocked that Barak Obama won the election, it's probably because you are oblivious to what is happening in the world of Social Media and quite simply that means you are out of touch with what people are saying, thinking, feeling and believing.
The lesson here is to look deeper than just skin deep and see what is underneath the surface. People chose Obama for a reason, for change. This means that as a nation we want change. In fact everything about our country is changing. The real question is, are you positioned to benefit from the inevitable changes that the future always delivers?
I wonder if the babies that will be aborted will be given a chance for life because of his liberalized views on abortion. There will be NO balance of powers. Is this good for our country? Promises are nice and sound so good but paying for them is another matter. I agree what happens when a country does not make sure it's laws are obeyed. Illegal immigrants are disobeying the law. I think the days ahead are going to be ominous. Our commander and chief, our president could not even be given clearance to work for the FBI. If there is another 9/11 what will our new commander and chief do? I think there is alot of questionable areas in President Obama's life.
Politicians are like the weather.
If we don't have to spend another trillion $ on another useless war, it seems the economy may do better if the money is saved, or spent to benefit more than the elite few who prosper during war.
I think it is up to the collective wisdom of the people. If technology and human will can free us of the dependency on oil that has shaped our economy for the past 60 years, our world will be vastly different. If we are not able to do that, overall, little will change.
I believe that President Elect Barack Obama's plan will help those who have been hurting the most in this country for the last 8 years. And that is a lot of people!!Many more than those of us that are independently wealthy or on our way to becoming so. If things were not as bad as they are right now I do not believe that he would have become the next President. Mr. Obama has not even sit in the Oval office yet and people have already started blaming him for every thing that is horrible wrong NOW..I find it most interesting that those of us who make the most money are the ones who object the most, and I hope that this is neither sour grapes , selfishness, nor greed, or worst. We as a country are only as strong as our weakest links. The middle class and the poor have sent son's and daughter's husbands and wives to war and lost some of them also just like the rich. But they have also lost homes and jobs and medical benefits and retirement funds.. have the rich? I do not think that Mr. Obama is a "Savior" as some may have claimed because I believe that the majority of the people are just plain tired of having the very foundation of their lives kicked out from under them so they grasp what they perceive as a lifeline of hope. And while those of us have the luxury to quibble about tax cuts or tax breaks for that matter, these people just want to live and be able to provide shelter, food and clothing for their kids to be able to pay for doctor's care basic human needs. Contrary to popular belief all middle class people nor all poor people are not looking for a handout! Mr Obama's plan will help the small business those that are less than a quarter of a million dollars so that they too will have a chance to flourish. So why should we begrudge them this? Anyone who buys anything or works legally in this country has to pay taxes..when have we never had to pay taxes???
President Obama will benefit small businesses. I believe there will be more opportunities open to move the economy. Bottom up economics works. Bill Clinton proved that. You can live like your taxable income is over 300k, while keeping your actual income lower than 250k, if you incorporate. Middle income people are the engines that drive this economic and we will now benefit more than we have in the past.
I am Canadian, but whatever happens to the U.S. affects us all in some way.
I do want to believe things will get better for all and I hope it does.
Mind you, I do worry we have already lost $10,300.00 in RRSP's, and I am sure we are going to loss more. It may not be a lot to some, but to us it means working longer then we hoped too.
I started working after school when I was 12 and have not stopped.
I have taken 1 holiday in my life, it was really nice, we drove to Florida back in 1900.
But now I don't think I will be doing another trip. The cost and trouble won't be worth it.
I would be happy if I could a ford to stay home, pay the bills, and eat and dress well.
Not only he's a good leader, he carry good leaderhship. In time we will see what he's really made of. He's already showing a positive impact global which is a good thing for all. Japan is going into another recession automotive companies are getting hit hard there is a lot of work to get done and I pray to God that we all rise to the occassion to help the world be a better place starting with the United States of America. To all the leader in America "IT'S SHOW TIME" now let's do it.
I did not vote for President Elect Obama but he is my President and I will support his efforts. We must remember the power of the vote is what makes us AMERICA!
I would feel better about the power of the vote if it was by popular vote instead of electoral vote. I cannot feel good about being a socialist country.
