Well... it doesn't.

So why do people continue to post canned messages, banners, and links on other members' pages? Do some people actually consider that networking?

Let's GET REAL, folks. Some people are networking the exact same way they market, yet they wonder why they aren't selling anything. The same replicated actions will produce the same replicated results.

So how do we fix this?

Simple...

1) Get Real. Networking is all about relationship building. You have to keep in mind that you are networking with other people... not their computers. Show some personality.

2) Get Creative. Copy and pasting may simplify pasting long welcome messages. But why would you want to leave a long message to introduce yourself? Less is More in this day and age. Besides, do you REALLY want to give someone the chore of reading paragraph after paragraph as way of introducing yourself? Come on...

3) Get Off the "High Horse". Understand that we are all entrepreneurs here, and in most cases are already running our own business or opportunity. That being said, have some dignity before pitching an opportunity as a way of saying hello. Do you like when telemarketers call you? Boy, I don't... and in my eyes a person that tells me to "click here" or "read this free ebook" is a tell-tale sign of a person that hasn't learned the art of prospecting.

Some people may disagree with the views in this discussion, but let me ask you this... How's that working out for you? I just encourage everyone to GET REAL and try something new. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it is our duty to change the face of the thing we call Internet Marketing. I think it's time to start right now...

Who's with me?

All the Best,
Cohawk
