How To Keep Your New Years Resolutions and Goals for 2009!

So here we are at the close of yet another year. 2008 was really a struggle for many businesses and families with the high gas prices and the decline in the economy. 2009 really has to be different as many people just could not handle another year like this...
So people make New Years resolutions in hope that with every new year comes new money, new joy, new life and just a chance to start all over and that is great but what usually happens? Usually you end up caving in only days into your new life!

I think that this has a lot to do with just not knowing HOW to make a goal and keep it. Most of the time there is absolutely NO accountability so you end up just looking the other way as you bite your nails again, or you smoke that first cigarette...

So how do you make them stick??? Well for starters you NEED to write them down. Type them out and print them will work too...just get them on a piece of paper some place where you can see them EVERY day...

When I set my income goal for 2008, I had it in front of me each and every morning as a constant reminder that I needed to do that day, whatever it was that was going to get me to my goal...so here is what I asked myself before I did ANYTHING... "Is what I am about to do going to help me reach my goal of $$XX by January 1st 2009?" and as hard as it was, if it didn't I did not do it. Now don't get me wrong we all need breaks occasionally but for the most part I forged ahead and guess what...I made it!

I looked at my goal every day! It was in my face ALL day long as I had it posted on my screen and had pieces of paper all over my house with it printed on it...as a matter of fact I am writing down my goals for 2009 this weekend and will be posting them so that I can start focusing...
