2. MBA in International (Business) Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. The program included finance, banking, and links between business and technology, trade and finance, etc.
3. Additional education and training linking business and education
4. Recent participation in Public Policy issues through Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. Chamber Committees included Federal Affairs, Missouri State Affairs, Kansas City Missouri affairs, Environment, and Small Business Management. If anyone is interested in taking a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Oct. 10, 2009 to support San Diego Ronald McDonald House Charities, please contact me. It's going to be rewarding to hand them a check after the cruise as well as receive 75% commission on the travel. I love being able to benefit others as well as myself.
We just came back from a Traverus Travel Company Cruise, and I was blown away by the quality of the people in the company, the leadership, the partnerships with 5CTV and Billy Campbell, from the Discovery Channel. So much more. The cross-training between groups - everything!

So many people treat it like a hobby and then wonder why it doesn't grow as quickly as they thought it would. I really like what you wrote. In addition to being a travel agent, I'm also a teacher and a holistic health practitioner, i.e., massage therapist with lots of education. As an established HHP, I had forgotten what it takes to start a new business - the education and time that are required. It's great to think, "Yes! I'm a Certified Travel Agent." It's another to be a great Certified Travel Agent. It's taken quite a bit of learning, training, questions, experience, etc. And, like in all of our fields, if we want to be excellent, we continue to learn.
