I have a Nails Spa in a very busy Financial district in NYC. I've tried the internet but find that targeting to people that work in my area is best for my store front. I give out a coupon flyer with the discount, business name and location of my place with a list of my most popular services. It seems to be working for me and I also hand one out with a service for free when they buy one of the services that compliments the free service.
If you have any other tips that may help...please post to reply...thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Perhaps a sort of loyalty system, offer clients money off or any service for free after 5 sessions etc, you could give a card to them and stamp it when they come.
Or with christmas coming up aim a promotion at guys, 25% off when they purchase a session for their girlfriends or wives.
Maybe it's an idea to get into touch with companies to talk about a gift voucher as part of the bonus they offer their employees because of Christmas time? Or to hand over to their new business relations?
For local businesses like that setup with one of the Text services. You can collect people that are interested in receiving text messages and say on Tuesday you send one out "Hey everyone Tuesday is our slow day come in and get 15% off" - this works great for other businesses I have helped.
90% of Text messages get read - just setup a process for when new people come in to get on the list.
