I know frequently there is a problem with the sizing of avatars, but I think if you lower yours so you are more centered, it will go a long way to not appearing so posed. I give you an 8.
You look like a fun person to work with and that really comes through in the photo. I realize that this is how people in Orlando dress but for your internet photo, you might consider a bit more business-like attire. T-shirt or blouse? Doesn't need to be a suit. This is more suitable for Facebook or Myspace than a business site. Still, overall the happiness, enthusiasm and correct sizing of the photo make up for a lot of that! 8
Lori, you're gorgeous and I love your glasses, expression, smile, etc but you look like you're wearing a hotel or spa housecoat! I seriously though you would be a massage therapist or something like that based on the tiny pic. I'm not sure how I would expect my computer gal to dress so I can't really even give advice on this. Probably a T-shirt or polo shirt. Not a white polo though! Burgundy would probably be your best color, closely followed by blue, navy or royal blue or even a pastel blue.
Thank you for your honest feedback Sharon. I really do appreciate it and agree that the white blouse (which is over a pink top, but you can't see it) does not do well in this picture. Your color suggestions are right on the money, and I will get a better picture with color in it. Thanks!
You're a very nice-looking man. I would like to see even a slight smile though, especially with that background which is a pretty harsh blue. How about an outdoor photo with a bit of mountain in the background? Equador's a lovely place. It might create more curiosity. I often click on people's photos if they have an interesting background vs. a poser shot. 7.
Hello my name is Donna and I'm the Editor for The College of Metaphysical Studies...I would value your opinion and how you all think I rate and how my profile rates...thank you Donna
I'd give your pic an 8. You have a wonderful smile which I'm sure is reflective of your personality. It appears to be cropped from a group photo though as you can see what appears to be another persons shirt next to you, but that's minor. Also the top of your head is chopped off. I would upgrade the rating to a 9.5 if you included the rest of your head and a 10 if it were just you in the picture.
I love the simplicity of the photo. Gets the point across immediately. I'm happy, come visit my website, LOL! The small version (vs the one on your page) actually looks better since the dark green looks black. Great smile, positioning and it doesn't even matter that the top of your head is cut off since the emphasis is on your face. Your hair nicely frames the face which is then framed by the background. Perfect 10
