2) Write a full page of content. Do not just post a paragraph and a link. Focus on one really great blog each day. Use formatting with bolding and italics in the right spots.

Pete Taylor also does a great job of writing about a topic that everyone can relate to even though it does not specifically have to do with his business. He also posts his signature link to his product and service in a nice professional manner at the bottom of the blog. Finally, his formatting is exceptional with perfect spacing and use of bolding to highlight each tip.

3) Promote your blog by sending a message to all of your friends and send out a round of invitations with a message about your blog being featured on the network.

Blogs with over 10 comments are almost always read. The more comments you have the more people want to read it. Letting your exisiting friends know of your new blog post is a great way to keep your connections fresh.

If your blog gets alot of comments, then it is also a great way to add value to an invitation that can lead to strong connections with new members. You will be seen as a proven expert, and they will be tuned into every blog you write.

4) Submit your blog to the major social bookmarks.

Here is a free online submitter that will submit it to all the majors in one click. You will need to set up an account with each social bookmark site to use the submitter. After that you will be able to submit all of your blogs everyday to all the majors from one place.

I have been using Socialmarker for awhile to promote my blogs for over a year now. It has gotten alot better and gets me an extra 3000 visitors daily from social bookmarks. Then there are about two days a month that one of my really good blogs gets dugg or propelled to the front page and then I get the motherload of traffic bumps. Usually 25,000 for digg and 10,000 for prop.

Nice points... Especially on the title aspect.

Is there a way to import logs that one already has, avoiding duplication?

Hi, I like your idea but, it does not have a clear message for some one like me. I,am not trying to sign up people or am I looking for people to join any group. I,am a artist that is trying to get my art sold or publish. In todays world it is hard for your art to be put into gallery,s or have a art show in a major place like New York city. I also find that if you know someone or are put in touch with the right person that can promote your art. I see that the love for true art is losing its place in our time. Schools are cutting back on art programs and thats not in clue music. I have a art form that is of its a strange style to most people. So where do I stand? I,am not a club or I,am not looking for people to join me. I just want to get my art out to the public. Thank You Ron aka Choppermouse.

Hi Ron,

This is a great way to get your work noticed. Perhaps a blog post about your recent works, or a showing you've had or will have. The idea is to get exposure. You never know who will see your post, or visit your page or website with your artwork on display. Think of this as a "free" gallery, for the world to see your work. You don't need someone to "join" you, but given the amount of people that visit this site for example, you have a huge audience to visit your work. Keep up your incredible work. ~Kathleen
