Barbie, yuk. I had stuck with the etch a sketch, spirograph, lego and hot wheels. I did receive a Giggles doll once. You pulled her arms apart and she giggled. That still never interested me near as much as that hot wheels set. I also had a pogo stick.

This is great memories!!

I now have three boys (young men) and they had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, K'nex, Lego all the favourite building toys. Until of course Game boy came around.

I am definitely a child of the '80's and I remember receiving our Atari, not long after we received our Comodor 64! I would have to say, however, that my most favorite gift was a stereo system complete with record player, radio, tape player AND speakers!

From the moment I touched a 286XT computer at the age of 8, 9(?) I know it would be the greatest toy ever, and a 5 1/2" floppy disk holds power.

2nd favourite was the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Come to think of it the classic Lego is simply amazing. A child playing with it won't realize its inherent power until s/he looks back as an adult and be surprised at what it truly is.

I loved Barbie's and as a matter of fact, I still colect them. I have over 100 barbies and I creat my own such as a Harry Potter series. I created every character from the movies and books. I also created the characters from Xena Warrior Princess. I love barbies. I have a whole room devoted to barbies.
