Google images accounts for a large amount of traffic and should not be ignored. On each daily blog, you should have an image that is clickable. Remember that Google images shows a bunch of thumbnails and not your blog content. Then use the keyword string to name the image, alt tag, and caption.

1) Ensure all your Domain URL's are Static - www.petfoodgalore.co.uk/pet-food-treats/dog-biscuits will get far more coverage on Google than dynamic URLs such as www.mywebsite.co.uk/cat?1_23455/menu?=12345.php

2) No broken links (how many times have we clicked a link and went aaaRRRGGHHH!)

3) Ensure hyperlinks exist for every page on your website - this allows Google crawlability...

4) Employ a site-map..especially for those who get lost in your website

5) DO NOT submit your website to thousands of useless, non-topic, free link farms or directories...it still amazes me how many "seo companies" still offer this as a service..if only one of them has been heavily penalised by Google, you get to carry "some" of the can and your website may be affected! Instead focus on high quality, high PR websites - these will bring you targeted visitors who may be looking for your products or services online...

Search Engine Optimisation is an ever-changing entity, but employing common sense certainly goes a long way in keeping the God that is Google happy ;-)
