What is the secret to MLM success does anyone really know ???

If you know what the secret is then post it here !!

I know what my secret is and i am going to reveal it to you.....

Now you may already know this because its not the BIG secret that is going to miraculously make you an overnight success nor instantly make you rich.

So what is my secret to MLM Success ? How do you make it work ?

When i started MLM about 6 months ago i learned something VERY important, well i actually figured it out for myself, anyway needless to say i became a success at MLM and my name was at the top of the Leaderboard week after week.

My secret was this.... i knew most people didn't succeed with MLM, and i knew if most people didn't succeed then their life span as an Active member was short lived.

So i knew the only way to succeed was to..... Not spend all my time keeping my Downline motivated ( although that is good to do ) it was NOT to sponsor my Friends and Family, it was NOT to buy leads or Training material that would tell me what i already knew, it was NOT about the 5 foot rule etc etc etc.

NO none of these, i discovered the Secret of success in MLM is Simple but at the same time extremely Difficult.

The Secret is to build your Downline FAST.

The faster you can build your downline the more successful you will be.

I was sponsoring between 5 - 10 new members every week for the first 3 months, and it worked the faster i was able to build my downline the more commissions i made and the quicker my residuals grew without members dropping out.

That is it, if you want to be successful with MLM that is what you need to do, and don't rely on other people building your downline for you because it is your personal referrals that count.

If you have your own secret then please share.

Thanks

If you are a network marketer or small business owner I am sure you have all heard the painful statistics that:

97% of network marketers and small business owners fail

Over 50% fail within the first 5 years

90% make less than $10 a week from their business

Given these terrible figures, it would only make sense for most of us to avoid new business ventures like the plague. Many aspiring entrepreneurs lack the characteristics and background they need to survive. They display several common traits that predispose them to failure, such as being too passive and casual, failing to develop an action plan or seek professional advice, and lack sufficient managerial experience. Also many small business owners only have time to work on their business on a part-time basis. Managing time, energy, finances along with all of life's other responsibilities and unpredictabilities becomes arduous. That being said, things will only change if more business-minded individuals take action, and do so wisely despite adversity.

It's not that people aren't smart and fully capable, but many who sign up to various business opportunities do so on an emotional high. They don't really think things through. Too many seek magic bullets that will somehow make them wealthy overnight. This is a very ludicrous and unhealthy way of thinking. Aside from winning the lottery or getting an inheritance, virtually all of us have to work extremely hard for any kind of success. The planning, execution, and mindset that are required for long lasting results is no easy feat, but very attainable. MLM isn't for everyone but is a perfectly legitimate and sound business-model for those who can think outside the box.

Personally I don't think there is a secret to ''making it'' but I am sure that there is no substitute for common sense an hard work. Make sure you address the following issues before making any big decisions you may later regret:

Study your target market. Know what their specific needs are and how to fulfill them. Devise the best strategy to market your product, service, or business opportunity. Are you going to market your own product/service or someone else's? What will your web marketing strategy be? Starting a business in this day and age without one is absolutely pointless. You can only make money if people are viewing your web site so how will you get them there and keep them coming back? How will you follow-up with them? Any business transaction can only be completed through communication and closing deals is the most important thing. How will you do it?

The following questions are more general, but are at the very heart of whether you will succeed or fail. I strongly advise everybody to answer each one honestly and I am positive statistics will change.

1) Why do you want to be in business for yourself?
2) What will you need to do to be successful?
3) How much time and energy can you consecrate to building your company?
4) How much sacrifice are you prepared to make (personally, financially)?
5) How much risk can you afford to take (personally, financially)?

MLM is like any other business and should be approached realistically. If more dreamers were willing to do everything it takes, even if results don't come quickly (which is almost always the case) we would have many more success stories. Avoid ''get rich quick'' scams and hype at all cost! They never work. Keep your eye on the prize, work hard, work consistently, and work smart. You can be successful. Just brace yourself and know how deep the water is before jumping in. Victory to all levelheaded leaders!

Mike,
Some say that MLM is a numbers gain and perhaps this is what you are doing bringing in hundreds of people hoping that some will stay.

Many people dream about having lots of money and this is where marketing gets carried away as very few if any make the money claimed and they end up disapointed. I personally prefer not to market my business, I let others do that for me and that way I gain satisified customers, because after all its customers and what they spend that make a business successful.

I agree with you not to rely on people building downline. I would rather build wide then down with lots of customers on my first level and picking who I wish to work with.

Mike,

There is more to MLM than building a downline as fast as possible. That only works to a certain degree. Depending of course on the goal of your MLM efforts. If the goal is to suck out as much as you can as fast as you can, and then moving on to the next greatest thing since sliced bread, your strategy is fine.

The problem with that is it only works for about 8% of the population. What about the rest of the 92%?

Don't you think they deserve a chance?

All those people who want sooo badly to make a little money in Network Marketing but just can't make it work because they have a personallity that do things differently than you do?

If you want to build a downline that will be your friends for life, build a business once, build it BIG, and build it in such a way that it will be there to pay your childrens children, you need a totally different strategy.

The thing is you need to get educated on PEOPLE. Build up people, help them grow, and these people will be your life long friends, and they will build your business and be there for you forever.

Another thing you need is to lose all greed and ego. Greed, ego, and competition have destroyed many more MLM ventures and lives than you can throw a stick at.

To REALLY succeed in Network Marketing, and build an organization that will build itself, you need to build a CULTURE. The people who have built the largest organizations on the planet are Culture Builders. Building a culture of people totally without any Greed and Ego, that will help anyone and attract people who want to be a part of something bigger than themselves is a must.

But you need more. You need a Proven, Duplicateable System that has been used to build large organizations in the past. A system you can just plug people into, and guide them to success. Becoming a Pointer, pointing people to the different steps in the system, using the internet to find people who are ready to learn and grow, and then connecting to them on a personal level, be their friends, using the telephone and helping them find their own success on their own terms.

Now, about companies, you need a good company. You can't just join any company and hope that it will be there for years to come. There are certain criterias you need to evaluate properly, and be ready for the truth when/if it is discovered, and keep searching until you find a company that is what I like to call a 5 pillars company.

If you want to know more, please go to my blog mlmabc.info, and accept my gift. It's an ebook I would like you to read that explains all I have talked about here and much more. This ebook has been written by my close personal friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy. A guy who have close to 30 years experience in Network Marketing. He has made a full time living in MLM since 1991. His personal friend and mentor is Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, another superstar in Network Marketing and a short bald guy from Texas who is probably regarded as the best generic MLM trainer on the planet.

You will find a link to my blog in my profile. You can download the ebook for free in the upper right hand corner of my blog.

Let's talk more sometime,

Hi Olav

Thanks for the post you have some valid points.

I would just like to say that my drive is not about ego, but Greed yes to some extent, i believe that everyone who is involved with some kind of MLM Biz has an ounce of Greed, otherwise they never would have joined your MLM Biz or anyone elses, it is greed that leads someone to join your biz the thought of a residual income of 2k or 3k or 10k per month is what ultimately clinches the deal.

I also believe Greed is an essential element to being successful although no one would like to admit it, you have to want something bad enough in order to obtain it, Yes i want a residual income of over 5k - 10K per month you find me someone involved with MLM who doesn't, that is an element of greed that everyone involved in MLM has.

However once i obtain my 10k per month i intend on sharing some of that down to my 1st level, giving back to the people who have helped me reach my goal.

I also share my secrets to my 1st level personal referrals so they can achieve the same results as i am.

Also building a culture of people takes an element of Ego, you need to be a leader and build a following of people, having a few hundred or a few thousand followers certainly does things to ones Ego.

So "Building a culture of people totally without any Greed and Ego" cannot happen.

Why do people involved in MLM build a culture of people ? to make money plain and simple, if that is not Greed what is ?

But you are right building a culture of people is the way to long term success in MLM, positioning yourself as a Leader someone who people can learn from and aspire to brings success.

Building your Downline fast is the first step towards being successful in MLM, 97% of people don't succeed because of one thing.... They cannot build their downline fast enough and don't see any results or any potential earnings, Thus they become an inactive member or drop out altogether.

So Before you can be a leader and build a culture of people you first have to be successful otherwise why would anyone follow you ?

And in order to be successful you have to be Greedy you have to want that 10k per month residual bad enough.

"But you need more. You need a Proven, Duplicateable System that has been used to build large organizations in the past. A system you can just plug people into, and guide them to success."

Exactly !! This is what i do myself and it works.

Mike,

Greed is a negative feeling. There is a huge difference between Greed and a Red Hot Pulsating Desire to make lots of money to do good with. You cannot outgive the universe, which is the exact opposite Greed. Help enough other people get what they want, and you will get what you want in the process.

There is also a huge difference between Ego and Self Worth, Self Confidence, and Wanting Success. Put other peoples needs before your own. When you have an Ego, other people usually gets hurt in the process, which is not something you want, even if they are not in your organization. Help Them Anyway.

By being unselfish (the opposite of greed) and sharing with the world what you know, helping your team members aswell as people not on your team, you attract other people to you.

That's exactly what we do in MentoringForFree.

I would love to have your oppinion on our ebook, to see if some of what we teach resonates with you. You can download it from my blog.

I agree completely with Olav.

I joined MLM industry because I saw a way that I could help people. My reasons for joining the business are far from greed and ego!

As a matter of fact I am a member of Olav's team of very successful leaders who are not involved in the industry because of greed or ego. They are in the business because they have a burning desire to help others. They put others needs before their own.

We all have different personalities...some are only interested in the money whereas there are others who want to help people and it takes money to do that. I fall into the helping people category.

Hi Olav

I will have a look at your ebook, thanks.

You can probably tell i am an MLM Rebel and don't conform to the norm, although my non conformity put my name at the Top of the leader board in my first week and not for one MLM Biz but for all the MLM companies i am an Affiliate of.

I will have a look at some of the things you teach and let you know my thoughts.

To your success.

Mike,

Nobody who wants total freedom in their life, and who goes after it and stay searching until they get it conforms to the norm. If you keep doing the same thing everyone else does, you get the same results everyone else is getting. And in MLM, 95% of the people are failing...

So going outside of the norm is a good thing. Just don't do it in a way that other people cannot duplicate.

If you learn about personallity types in the book, you will see what I mean. Rebels usually have a blue personallity. The way blue people traditionally do MLM is massive action, lot's of excitement, sell anything to anyone willing to listen.

The problem with that is that only works for about 8% of the people. The other 92% can't stand pushy, agressive salespeople, or any kind of pushy people like MLM rebels usually are (no offense). There is a place for that also, but not all the time.

What we teach works for the other 92% every time. We can teach you a system where you can use your rebel tactics when there is a fit between it and the person you are speaking to, we can also teach you other methods to use with other types of personallities, so you will be able to have over 90% of the people you are talking to leaning forward and wanting to know more.

How many people have been able to duplicate your efforts so far?

How many percent of the amount of people you are talking to are leaning forward wanting to know more about you?

One more thing, if you think everyone in MLM has atleast an ounce of greed, you haven't met my friends and mentors Michael Dlouhy, Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, and Art Jonak. If you had, then you would see what I see in this beautiful business. If you have not heard of them, look them up on google.

Read the book, and let me know what parts of it makes total sense to you. Also let me know if you had any AHA experiences. Then let's talk.

Hi Olav

" 92% can't stand pushy, agressive salespeople, or any kind of pushy people like MLM rebels usually are (no offense). "

I am not An MLM Rebel in that sense, i am not a pushy aggressive salesperson at all !!

I am an MLM Rebel because i don't get sucked into the Bull that is continuously spouted by these so called MLM experts such as your Mentors.

" One more thing, if you think everyone in MLM has atleast an ounce of greed, you haven't met my friends and mentors Michael Dlouhy, Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, and Art Jonak. If you had, then you would see what I see in this beautiful business. "

Your friends and mentors Do have an ounce of greed don't believe everything these guys say, the guys who hold seminars and speak on stage tell you half truths, and bend certain things to disguise their motivations.

It is a FACT every person involved in MLM has come in to this Biz with an ounce of Greed, the most Greedy are the Top guys earning all the money.

MLM is a Greed fueled Business, it is what keeps it going and is the reason why it started in the first place, the reason is to make money.

There are many many Top guys and mentors in the MLM Biz who will spin you lies and will try to disguise their motivation for teaching you, they aren't teaching you out of pure satisfaction, they mentor you because they make money by helping you make money plain and simple.

Olav don't get sucked into the lies you are being spouted by these big guys.

No one will openly admit they are Greedy right ? so obviously your mentors are preaching something different to disguise their Greed fueled motivations.

MLM was built on Greed, Lies and Manipulation, remember this and you will begin to see the truth.

I see the truth and i am not afraid to speak it or tell it like it is, this is why i am a Rebel, not for the reasons you think or have been told.

The Rebels like myself are NOT the Bad manipulative liers who preach false promises, and disguise the truth.

Everyone knows now that 92% or 97% of people fail at MLM this has been preached for several years it is nothing new, the lies of the past have been exposed, however exposing these lies has paved the way for new lies to emerge.

One lie you seem to have been fooled by is the satisfaction we get by helping others succeed is what this Biz is all about.

Couldn't be further from the truth, The satisfaction the top guys get from helping others succeed is the satisfaction of making more money.

The Top guys in MLM are motivated by making Money.

If your motivation is to help others then you will be one of the 92% who fail. Why ? Because making money is what MLM is all about, and the only way to keep making more and more money is by showing others how to make money.

If you don't make any money in MLM how can you help others make money ?

If you want to help others succeed in MLM or in other words if you want to help people make money in MLM then you have to make money yourself FIRST !

Then and only then can you help others succeed or in other words help others make money.

Helping others succeed makes you more money, the more people you help succeed the more money you make.

If you don't think this is greed you have a disillusioned view of what Greed is.

When i first started 6 months ago my motivation was to make a lot of money i wanted to make a very good residual income ( by the way this is what attracts most people to join an MLM Biz )

In my first week my name was at the top of the leaderboard, and 3 months later i started earning an ok residual income.

My first motivation was to make money, now that i have started doing that, my second motivation must now be to help my 1st level downline make money or to succeed too, i must do this because it will help ensure longevity in the Biz.

Motivation for helping others succeed..... to ensure your longevity in the Biz or in other words to keep making a good residual income and to keep increasing that residual.

Tell people the truth in plain terms don't white wash it to disguise your real motivations.

People deserve to see the truth behind the disguise.

Every single person can duplicate my efforts it is simple and effective, weather they choose to duplicate my efforts or not is out of my control.

The duplicate system i use is extremely easy anyone can do it.

I don't talk to anyone i don't push my MLM Biz on to anyone it is an online Automated system.

My system generates over 100 Targeted leads per week, which are followed up by my hands free Auto responder system.

The success rate is very good.

There are certain things you need to do in order to make my Hands free system work, these tips, and tricks i teach to my 1st level Downline.

Mike,

I am not here to argue with you. I wish you all the success in the world with your business. I think we are trying to get the same point across here. We both want to tell people the truth about MLM.

I misunderstood you when you said you were an MLM Rebel. I appologize for that. What I should have asked you was this: What do you put into the term "MLM Rebel?". Now that I know what you put into it, I can see your viewpoints better.

With your meaning of the term "MLM Rebel", my good friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy is also a MLM Rebel. The difference is that he took the time to figure out the real truth about MLM and is teaching it to anyone who are willing to listen. He has spent years evaluating and systemizing it. After failing forward for 12 years, he has been able to make a fulltime income in MLM since 1991. That experience is put into the ebook you are reading.

Let me know how you like it, ok?

One more thing: It's fully possible to make good money in MLM while still being totally unselfish and without any greed and ego. Everyone in MLM wants to make money, but to be hugely successful in MLM and be able to build it once, build it big, and build it to pay your grandchildren, you need more than a system...you need to build a culture that people want to be a part of because it helps them learn more about themselves and others on a personal level.

I am so happy for your success, and for helping others succeed in your business. How do you help them grow as human beings, and building them up as leaders without talking to anyone?

~Olav
