I use a couple of Email blasters and they are well worth $10 per month and in addition the marketing system also allow me to send messages to thousands of subscriber to my system.

The problems encountered are the usual ones false email addresses and of course AOL email addresses which block most mail for no apparent reason. The systems I use are all Spam Compliant, which is very important and are web based, so do not effect my ISP.

You have to realise of course that many emails do not get through and even those that do are often not read, as everyone is selling and few people are buying.

My stategy is to get my email address captured and sold in order to use reverse marketing techniques and this keeps me well supplied with thousands of free leads
