Top 40 Start-Ups list.

Network Marketing companies with 1) the highest internet traffic as ranked by Alexa, AND 2) that are LESS than five years old as of the date of the update. That data is also obtained from Alexa for each company. We are adding more companies to this list.

Alexa, while not perfect by any means, is the most widely used tracking service for website rankings since 1996. Alexa ranks millions of websites.

Rank 1 is the highest; Rank 10 million the lowest.

NOTE: When you click on a company, you will usually get some live humans who are independent reps for that company. Those folks are all members of Network Marketing Central (NMC) or the iGaggle Network. For a company that has no NMC member yet, you will go directly to that company page.

Most of our Top 50 are also ranked 100,000 or better (remember lower numbers are better - it's closer to #1.)

Alexa says that "Generally, Traffic Rankings of 100,000+ should be regarded as not reliable because the amount of data we receive is not statistically significant.

I say LAL because their business is focused on helping local business owners connect with local buyers. I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me feel good being able to contribute to my local community.

I've heard and read way too many not so flattering things about LocalAdLink (LAL). The CEO, Bob McNulty and his clan (Rob DeBoer, Dr. Scott Elliott) and others have all been in trouble with the SEC and/or FTC in the past. I would do some serious research before getting involved with this company.

After being with NIKKEN for 15 years, in our opinion it is absolutely a great company. Unique patented products, unique technologies and unique opportunity. Thousands are living a greater lifestyle because of NIKKEN. Our 2nd choice would be Shaklee, 3rd choice would be Natures Sunshine. Companies that add greater health and compensation plans that allow for a nice lifestyle.

I'm really surprise that Shaklee was not on your top 5 list. The company has been in business for over 53 years and with its new president Roger Barnett, it has one of the most generous bonus plans and training programs that I've found anywhere. When you talk to anyone in the health and wellness business, they will tell you that Shaklee is the supreme pioneer in the industry.

My take on multi-level companies is that they need to have a unique product or service, have a huge target market, you need a great compensation plan with no or little fee to join, and the competition should be minimal. Additionally, if the business is new, it's even better because the potential for success is even better than established companies.

With that in mind, I joined Healthy Coffee (www.besthealthycoffee.biz -- my web site, but it will take you to the company's Web site) as a Founder and Diamond. Why did I join?

1. We have the largest target market of any company. Nearly everyone in the world drinks coffee, tea or an energy drink. We have all 3.

2. The quality of the products is outstanding. According to my wife, I make the best cappuccino anywhere (even better than we had in Italy), but I will easily substitute my cappuccino for Healthy Coffee. It's that good.

3. In most health associated businesses, the consumer needs to acquire a taste for the product and/or change his/her habit. With healthy coffee, the products taste good and there is no need to "acquire a taste." There's also no need to add a habit. Consumers merely substitute the products.

4. Our energy drink is high in energy and taste without the danger and unhealthiness of high processed sugar and high caffeine content. Our energy comes from ginseng which provides the consumer with natural energy.

5. The compensation plan is simple, easy, and rewarding.

6. In many MLM health businesses, the products may be very healthy, but competiton is stiff from other similar companies and often the price is rather expensive. With Healthy Coffee, the products are less costly than gourmet coffee found in coffee shops, tastier and less expensive that restaurant coffee. Additionally, there is very limited competition.
