I am a beginner and I do want traffic to my site. I am a member of Google, My Space, Facebook, Twitter & of course Sta.rtup.biz. I talk about my business and read everything I can regarding how to do these things you talk about, but due to my ignorance in understanding some of the jargon, I am in a daze. Please explain exactly what an 'RSS feed' is and how to use it. Is there a place I can download your 3 secrets shown above?

The 3 secrets are all clickable above. They will open up in a new page with all the information.

RSS is essentially a feed that pulls the title and description of online content. Your blog will have an RSS feed. So will twitter, facebook, etc. Many people will use a service called FeedBurner, owned by google, to create a widget to use that has the last 5-10 links in the feed.

From the perpective of someone like me that did not have the means to pay for the best tactics and experts...The best and fastest is JVs Like this product i'm helping launch with other prominent marketers, in this case Richard Roop, he's the Marketing GURU to Real Estate Investors/marketers on/offline use your site/blog and social media for great content (your comments/feedback) on the product, have an Opt-in box from your Autoresponder to capture leads you kepp for life therefore you get to mail them over and over.
I also use ping.fm to consolidate all your social media and update your status in one click with any relevant sites/articles, another trick i use is when i get a good e-mail from a good source i forward it to my blog instantly and then i go to ping.ff or friendfeed and i let my followers now about the Site or Articles wich is on my site also i put the update on autopilot with TwitterHit you get to customize your adds to update your status every 10 minutes also add 200 by keywords followers for free or the upgraded part is the best as always
That's my two cents...but don't take my word for it i'm just a begginner.
P.S. Also track all my links with Bit.Ly it gives you a lot of stats by clicks, country, hrs, days, graphs for free.
Also visit my blog to see how this article looks and at the same time i get traffic and SUp.biz gets traffic for FREE

Another terrific post from SUp.biz, COO. I am impressed by the tranparancy, value of the content for my use, and the interactivity built into the segment.

I personally might rephrase the question to, "What is the best kind of web traffic to get?"

SEO: If you want massive traffic then the main players like Google are who you should direct your attention. Sta.rtUp.Biz is a terrific example of that. I found it on Google. If you want a certain kind of traffic, then you have to shape your outreach to connect with those people. I'm doing a lot of research on "intelligent search" which is popping up all over the place from WikiSearch, Buzz, and most recently Microsoft's first ever "decision engine". I want web traffic that is impressed about what they find when they do find me, and are happy to invite their friends for more of the same.

Content: If you want massive interaction, then post intelligent questions based on your niche market's interests, preferences, and needs. Sta.rtUp.Biz features some great online social networking content such as what you see on the forum categories of General Business and Management, SEO, Financing, Legal sections etc. Even if what you find online is predominantly a "me" mentality, those are the people that will substantiate your network activity with their participation. I've been developing my site on the notion of taking that even further...publishing content that really features each person and helps them to establish an impressive online social presence. this is something I think you can do through example, which will encourage the kind of substantive interaction I find desireable in my web activity.

Media: Sta.rtUp.biz does a great job bringing in media, and I enjoy feeding in external site activity and blogs to my profiles and groups here. RSS Feeds, send out and bring in media. So set yourself up channels for distribution and put some production quality behind your media. Get up to speed with making, embedding, and sharing media. The more you want to connect with a niche market, the more it behooves you to share relevant media. A great RSS in is the perfect conversation starter. Alongside intelligent search, I think you will find customizable interfaces. You can create your own social network, and if you open yourself up to popular media such as you see in entertainment sites, you've got all you need to blast yourself with traffic. From there, it's just a matter of focussing in on the media that represents your interests, and engaging people to connect through it.

Best,

This is great advice although as an Online Marketing consultant for Small Business owners, I find that most of them are completely lost when you start talking about this sort of thing. To help them out, I find it's more efficacious to put together an online marketing program that lets them contribute to the content and keyword choices so they feel I'm promoting their products or services the way they want, and then I handle all the technical stuff like submissions to article directories, list directories, social media and the like.

You may also add my blog to your list of blogs with "do-follow" tags. I get about 3,000 unique visitors per month so it behooves people to comment on my blog.

I don't quite understand what you mean by the last 5-10 llinks in the feed. What exactly is the feed and what is it doing? If I have linked up Twitter with other sites such as Facebook and linked in, is that an RSS feed? I have been strugglng to understand RSS feeds for a long timel.
