ABOUT ME

Having grown up in a family of war veterans and spending thirteen years in law enforcement, I lived each day of my life witnessing the devastating effects that traumatic past events can have on someone’s life. In 2004, I established Healing With Spirit after arduous hours of study in a variety of different healing modalities. When I added EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to my practice, I realized there was more I could do. I kept noticing that profound physical and emotional healings were taking place. The reason for this is that EFT addresses causes that Traditional Healing Practices have largely ignored. Thus it is no wonder that EFT produces benefits where the traditional counseling profession has thrown up its hands. I am focusing my attention to veterans suffering, sometimes silently, by the impact of PTSD. These folks, after returning from war ravaged countries have been cast aside. It is these people who deserve my attention.

WHY REPEAT WAR'S TRAGIC HISTORY?

Nearly everyone is related to or knows someone related to an Iraqi War Veteran. Yet few know that statistics clearly show we have lost nearly as many Vietnam Era veterans to suicide, sense the war ended, as we did in the war. Those names will not be found on the Memorial Wall in DC, though they died in a tragic way. This is due to the lack of effective treatment for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). In fact the majority of physiological and psychiatric professionals today, consider PTSD to be incurable. It is classified as a permanent disability and if diagnosed in an active veterans file is the end of his military career. Thus many suffer silently as their lives disintegrate into emotional disability or suicide, due to the lack of appropriate care.

This pattern has already begun to repeat itself in our new generation of war veterans. There are groups looking for effective answers yet the use of EFT is relatively new (approximately 15 years). This is by far as important as the invention of Penicillin or the Polio Vaccine in their time. This will save lives by the thousands. So how do we get the word out to the general public? NETWORKING!!! I have already begun such networking within my field of practitioners and have been asked to join a clinical study to attain documented proof of the effectiveness of EFT while treating war veterans.
