Why did I start my business?
I started this business because I love to help entrepreneurs shape ideas into a business, and then take their business to the next level.
What do you work for?
I work for my family... My wife, my children, and my future grandchildren... I want to build my businesses so that they will be a legacy that generations of my family will be able to participate in.
I started my business for pure freedom, freedom from the fear of losing a job, freedom to vacation whenever and wherever I like. Also to leave my grandchildren with a decent start in life.
I started my business because I was looking for a way to retire my husband, so that we could spend more time together....we did that within 6 months and now spend every day together, having fun, living life on our terms, travelling, spending time with the people we love most, and assisting other people to create wealth in their lives.

As a thread behind my life, there is Arts, love of Nature. Now, I cannot dig gardens for African orphans, nor for mine, there is only Art left. This is what I do, in a positive and researching way. I would like to live of it. I have two children, two dogs and I find it hard to be fed by the state, by my parents...Ami. Cath
Why did I start my business?
I started to sell my Art work because I love to create and wanted to share it with those who can appreciate my work.
What do you work for?
I create my Art for me...it is my soul purpose in life. My goal is to stay true to what I love to create. Those who love it as much as I will follow. My reward is the happiness of being able to create what I love. The rest will fall in alignment.
I started coaching other writers because it let me combine two of the things I love to do - write and teach others. People were always asking me how I became a successful freelance writer, and now I help other writers become just as successful - or even MORE successful - than I am.
What do I work for?
I work for the joy of getting to do what I love to do all day long every day. Of course, I also work to support my family. But even if I won the lottery, I can't imagine NOT writing and coaching other writers.

I started Freelancing becuse I figured there had to be are better use of my time. My disablity means that in my area the "usual" thing for disablied adults is adult daycare. I knew i Could do more so whe i got sick and had to stay home from the daycare for 4 months i started freelancing.
Why do I do it? So that I can get things that I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise.
My prediction that pension funds would not be viable by the time I got there has, as many of you are experiencing, motivated me to initiate home business ventures. Now the inflation has passed and we're in a deflation cycle, I'm grateful I followed the advice that came my way.
The environmental impact of vehicles and the seemingly never ending dependence on petroleum has always been an interest to me, therefore I found the ideal products applicable to address. When I operated vehicles and equipment in severe hot an cold temperatures I pursued a product that would solve issues that related this need, and I found it in synthetic automotive lubricants.
I had been Assistant to the President of a local bank for 10 years. Prior to that, I had been in bank middle management for 13 years until my job was phased out. I was maxed out on my salary and grade level. I was informed I would never receive another salary increase no matter how many more years I worked. I was 62 1/2 at the time. In the 10 years I had worked there I had become quite proficient in computer operations and knowledgeable in the operation of many computer programs. In addition, I had many years of secretarial and managerial experience. My family and friends said, "Why don't you take early retirement and supplement your Social Security by working at home doing what you want, when you want and probably earn more money?" So I took a "leap", formed my Sub-S Corporation, Tailored PC Documents, Inc. in January, 1998 (named for tailoring documents on a PC) and tendered my retirement resignation in June, 1998 when I turned 63. I have NEVER been sorry. One of the best decisions I ever made. Hey, if Colonel Sanders could do it at age 65, why not me at age 63?

I have found a niche providing secretarial services for many small businesses and individuals in my local area. I specialize in dictation transcription and provide many other types of secretarial services as well. I have made many wonderful friends and repeat customers. Each job has been a learning experience since the work spans all aspects of written communication from business correspondence to genealogy family journals, published books and poems, medical surveys and patient evaluations... the list is endless. Working has enabled me to supplement my Social Security thus enabling me to leave my savings intact for the time when I may not be able to work any longer. I enjoy what I do, the people I've met and the friends I have made. I look forward to continuing to provide these services and learn all I can for as long as the Good Lord permits. I feel very fortunate and blessed. I am also looking forward to networking here in this site and making more friends across the country.
