You May be Losing Precious Referrals. Here's a Tip...
It has come to my attention that if you use credit based systems in your promotions, depending on what you are promoting, you may be losing precious referrals. Systems such as safelists, list builders, and even traffic exchanges.
You see, credit based systems use a framed system that for some reason eliminates and deletes your affiliate id coded within the website. Therefore, you could be losing precious referral credit from anyone joining your program from within these frames.
The same result is true if you are cloaking your affiliate links. Simply shortening your links does not seem to have this effect. Trakim gives you the choice to cloak or not. And their service provides tracking as well.
I have been watching closely, not only to my own promotions but to yours as well, and have found missing affiliate id's over and over again. This is not acceptable and I have come up with a solution... my solution.
To remedy the problem, I have begun using splash pages in ALL my promotions. This allows the prospect to click on the splash page which will open the affiliate website in a new page thus protecting the integrity of the affiliate id embedded, and giving credit for the referral to the referrer.
If your program provides splash pages, I highly suggest you use them in your promotions. Don't take the chance of losing your referrals because of this technical issue no one seems to know how to fix.
In case your program does not provide splash pages, there are a few splash creators and programs you can use who will provide templates to help get you started. Just Google "splash pages". However the Prosperity Marketing System, provides this tool and a whole lot more.

Yvette Thank You for this post, you are correct! There are many dishonest programs on the net today.
I truly believe it's all about lack of $$$$, what a shame. You see, I am so glad I take the time out to track my promotions, and you know the best thing about that, my Hosting give me the power to do just that!

Thanks for your reply. Don't get me wrong though. I don't mean to say that some of these programs are not on the up and up. It's just that the programming for these frames won't support replication of the sites within.
I just wanted to send a heads up to affiliates and those who are advertising with credit based safelists, text ad exchanges and list builders that use these types of frames. Monitor your ads and be sure your referral id's are not compromised.
