Joel Comm of 'Twitter Power' says the first step, before sending out tweets, is to get a professional background. I ordered one right away, but it never came from on company. After three months I gave up and went to another company. (I only mention this to explain why I tweeted for months without a customized background.

This new company did a great and imaginative job. I told them exactly what I wanted and they went beyond that.

My main point here is, with this new background, I do feel more professional and I think it makes me write better. So if you can't make your own customized background get a design company to do it, as I aggree with Joel Comm.

It's easy to make your own custom background.

I found an image online by just doing a search on Google images.
They're free to use unless there is a copyright notice. Just find the
image you want and right click to save as and send to your My Pictures
or desktop. Then if you have a site, use an ftp program or the file manager
in your cpanel to upload the file.

Go to your twitter profile and edit it and upload the file to twitter or use
the url from your site to add the background.

I have a background that I found online and its free. I think its twitbacks.com? I am trying to remember as it has been a long time since I put it up.....I probably need to change it as it does not look that professional.

Does anyone know a specific site to go online and get a professional background for free?

I'm Mike1MB almost everywhere, Twitter, Gmail, Facebook, and several accounts I haven't used, and won't (AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) I believe in having an Identity that is consistent across most platforms, but that doesn't mean I'll read Email at all of them.
