I grew up in the Caribbean where the game of cricket was played almost everyday and everywhere. I remember well even those rainy days when we played in the house. I eventually represented my school and some clubs in this marvelous game. In the 1980's, our team, the West Indies was the best team in the world and we beat everybody.
This page is for all of you who enjoyed the game, to let us hear of your experiences in this 'gentleman's game'. Of course there are Ladies' teams now, so don't be shy, come on and let us hear your story as well.

Here are two examples of great cricket.
First the West Indian Curtly Ambrose's excellent bowling followed by examples of good cricket.

Hi there Reginald, you were one of the first members of Sta.rtUp.Biz to greet me and become a friend. I just started my own group "Modern Business Exploration" where I would like to interview at least one friend per week. I'd love to interview you next. We could talk about Skype Assist and/or Cricket, Lovely Cricket. The interview format is basically a two way discussion on the who, what, where, when, how, and why of eachother that other members can join in on or start their own pairings/ explorations. Let me know if you are interested and I will set it up. It would be great if we could invite your other friends to join in on our discussion or start their own exploratory interviews.

As I commented earlier, I think what you have done to create a group outside the scope of business is terrific and also a great business networking tool- like golf. However, as an entire sport with a massive international following, your concept may be deserving of it's own Ning and a platform that can promote it outside the scope of the Sta.rtUp.Biz theme. I'd like to help you with that or at least promote your group to my new online social network Area Light. My favorite sport happens to be soccer. So I will be featuring my own sports interest group around that. Perhaps even more than Cricket, soccer/football is a world unifier. I think it would be neat if my international soccer guests (once invited) find Cricket represented too. You and your friends are invited to check this out at www.arealight.ning.com . Features of my network include a broader theme from personal, professional, to business. Also, I am interested in networking by geographic location and greeting people with free services to help make Area Light an online social network of choice- for everybody. Stop by and shed some light on your areas of interest and enjoy networking with others from Sta.rtUp.Biz and other networks.

Thanks again for introducing me to Cricket, lovely Cricket. The videos were a great idea. I guess my favorite moments playing Cricket are ahead of me. Why not, it looks like a blast!

Lovely, indeed. I'm new to cricket but have noticed it on occasion. I think it would be an excellent and enjoyable skill to acquire for the international businessman- much like golf, a great networking tool.
