Dear Samson,
Although the sale of slaves was conducted by your and my ancestors in Africa, and perpetuated by another group of my and someone's ancestors in America, that tragic situation and all the other travesties against humanity by any mis-guided and cruel people have served a purpose in man's development. If we look for good rather than the bad that men do, we will be able to see the beauty of love and God at work also. Had it not been for the sacrifices of the slaves, America would not be the country that it is today. This country, even the White House that our new black president will occupy, was built by slaves. The power and majesty of the American dream could not exist without those immigrants who fled countries who were demanding taxes and bondage in exchange for money owed; Chinese workers who toiled to build our railroads; Hispanics who gathered our crops. The horror of the Holocaust resulted in medical discoveries and life-saving techniques which would have been impossible to discover without the sacrifice of the Jews. Everywhere there is inhumanity, somehow man has reaped a bounty of the furtherance of humankind. I can understand your anger and pain, but I believe in a just God, a God of love and forgiveness. There is no group on this earth that has not suffered at the hand of another group. That is what we must not forget. There is a true saying, "What goes around, comes around." Race started in Afica when our great great great fathers sold there brothers cause of greed,and it is still a major problem in Africa today,that is why we kill ourselves,enrich ourselves and loot through government appointments.the rich get richer and the poor get poorer,police brutality,so many innocant people in jail.Why is the black race so wicked and heartless.
That is why killing in ruanda and congo still takes place,we started it that was why the white man took advantage in slavery.DONT BLAME THE WHITE MAN..the problem is from us and till we unite in africa racism will continue among ourselves.
