Mom Business

Mom Business is a group for moms to come together and share information about what they have done to work from home in order to spend more time with their families. As a mom working from home, I'm sure this is a goal we all share. The purpose of this group is to HELP EACH OTHER.

Unfortunately, there have been some spam issues in this group, which isn't surprising with the large number of us that are here. I am having to put some spam rules into place here. Please follow them or your comments and discussions will get deleted:

RULES:

1. I understand that we all come here to promote our businesses. In Mom Business, if you want to promote your business, OR sales you are having, OR parties you are having, please do it in the "ADVERTISING" discussion I have specifically set up. If I find it anywhere else I will have to delete it.

2. Sometimes you may feel that you have a link that will genuinely help another mom with free advertising or the like (traffic exchanges, safelists, etc.). Please post these links in the "SIGN-UP LINKS" discussion that is designated for them. Do not post them anywhere else or I will delete them.

3. You may add a link to your website and a short tagline about your site in your signature. If the tagline is more than one line long, I will consider it an advertisement and delete your comment. If you don't want to put a tagline, you can use another website instead.

4. If the purpose of your comment or discussion appears to be written just for the purpose of showing off your signature line, I will consider it spam and delete it as well. So when you discuss or comment, make sure you actually contribute something to the conversation.

5. NO BOYS ALLOWED! Boys are dads, not moms. We're sexist in this group.

6. If you have a helpful website that you DO NOT get personal gain from, and it is relevant to the discussion, you may post it in any discussion or comment. Just to be clear, here's an example: A mom asks about the best marketing techniques and you know of a really great marketing blog, it's okay to post a link and a description of the blog. However, if you send them your sign-up link to a traffic exchange, I will delete it.

6. Lastly, if you see boys sneaking into the group, or someone that you feel I am overlooking, please e-mail me. Or if you have a suggestion, please e-mail me. My profile link is here. This way I can investigate the situation.

Lastly, I have the right to change these rules. If I do, I'll put an update on the bottom in big fat bold letters.

I have deleted any conversations that do not follow my own rules, including my own discussions or comments that break the rules. This did include some comments and discussions that may have had good information in them. Please don't take it personal, I'm just trying to clean the place up. I'm sorry to be such a jerk, but it has to be this way so we can all make the best of this group.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 "monkeys" (boys). I just started my business last May... it has been pretty rough trying to balance building the business and tending to the kids at the same time (being a single mom-oh boy wish I had more arms to use!)
