Mom Business

Mom Business is a group for moms to come together and share information about what they have done to work from home in order to spend more time with their families. As a mom working from home, I'm sure this is a goal we all share. The purpose of this group is to HELP EACH OTHER.

Unfortunately, this is NOT a group for SPAMMERS. If you are a spammer go somewhere else, or I will ban you.

RULES:

1. There is an advertising discussion specifically for advertisements. If you deliberately advertise somewhere else I will delete you from the group. I know it's mean, but I have to protect the people that actually come here to network.

2. Sometimes you may feel that you have a link that will genuinely help another mom with free advertising or the like (traffic exchanges, safelists, etc.). Please post these links in the "SIGN-UP LINKS" discussion that is designated for them. Do not post them anywhere else or I will delete them.

3. You may add a link to your website and a short tagline about your site in your signature. If the tagline is more than one line long, I will consider it an advertisement and delete your comment. If you don't want to put a tagline, you can use another website instead.

4. If the purpose of your comment or discussion appears to be written just for the purpose of showing off your signature line, I will consider it spam and delete it as well. So when you discuss or comment, make sure you actually contribute something to the conversation.

5. NO BOYS ALLOWED! Boys are dads, not moms. We're sexist in this group.

6. If you have a helpful website that you DO NOT get personal gain from, and it is relevant to the discussion, you may post it in any discussion or comment. Just to be clear, here's an example: A mom asks about the best marketing techniques and you know of a really great marketing blog, it's okay to post a link and a description of the blog. However, if you send them your sign-up link to a traffic exchange, I will delete it.

6. Lastly, if you see boys sneaking into the group, or someone that you feel I am overlooking, please e-mail me. Or if you have a suggestion, please e-mail me. My profile link is here. This way I can investigate the situation.

Lastly, I have the right to change these rules. If I do, I'll put an update on the bottom in big fat bold letters.

If you're comment or discussion is borderline spam, I will delete it, but it probably won't get you banned unless you keep doing it. I know we all get excited sometimes and advertise without noticing, but don't be a repeat offender. Please read the spam rules above.

I've read the information about posting yet it seems that most posts are about trying to get me involved in your business. Just can't help yourselves huh? LOL

My name is Donna, 53 year old mom and grandmother. Single for 8 years and loving it. I work at home for myself. I started my business in 95 as soon as I got a computer and figured out how to use it.
I've sold on auction sites and my own websites. I started some online classes back in the day when yahoo groups were all the rage. It was a hoot working with other women.

Most of my business today is with women, most of them moms as well. I do homeschool and enjoy the freedom. I started home schooling in 83 with my oldest two children and have used this method with all four children and even my grandson for a few years.

I'm all about people, helping people by getting to know them. I realize each of you have real lives, real issues and my passion is helping you to empower yourselves. I know all about diapers, boo boos, husbands, jobs, bills, cleaning up.. been there, done that.. got several closets full of Tshirts too.

I use Twitter and would love to have you follow me. I send Tweets to encourage, inspire and inform.

I have been out of the loop for awhile and I am glad to be back. Just like everyone here, I am a full time mother, provider, and maintaining a career. To go a step further, currently enrolled in school. So I definitely know what it is like to stay healthy and in shape. We tend to drink water daily, but ordinary water is not enough to counter all the acidic influences our bodies deal with on a daily basis. We have to take care of ourselves, because everyone seems to depend on who?...MOM. Once again, I am glad to be back in the loop.
