Do you blog?

Hi "Moms",

I know many of you out there have created a blog and I just have spent December updating mine and I would really like to use my site to promote not only my businesses but other moms as well!

My blog is a blend of my businesses and my personal life. I tend to think that people don't want to visit a blog just to read about a business but I think they want to get to know the person as well. I believe that I am sincere, open and honest in my blog. I try to share specials about my business and also, what is going on in my personal life.

My readers come from all parts of my life, people that I went to high school with, customers, and other socialpreneurs, like you! I would hope that someone might see something that piques there interest enough to make a comment or maybe even make an order or send a referral, or better yet, build a friendship.

I feel the same as you, most people do not want to read JUST about your business, they want to know the person whose behind promoting the product or service. Before becoming an entrepreneur I worked in, and with, the public. Building relationships is what makes a successful business, what it is all about! Most of the individuals that I work with tell me their weekly drama's, and want to know what is going on in my life! I do not feel they are intruding but are invited into my life. We have just worked together and have formed bonds of friendship. Working from home, on the Internet, does not have to be cold and impersonal. When I worked outside of the home I built lasting friendships, it's human nature. I do the same with my Internet business. I hope some day to meet and shake hands with all the wonderful people I have meet in the last few years through working on the internet and talking with them by phone.

Wow, how do you do so many businesses? I work f-t and have 3 kids and 2 businesses. Talk about no time! Would love someone just to walk me through putting up a beautiful blog like yours and having links to go to the sites. I'm in health and wellness and yours looked so refreshing! Well, how I do it is I simply just love and represent the companies that I personally use and that I want the discount for...lol....and I am willing to share that with others. I have a job as a paralegal that I am able to live on so the other is just extra and honestly, I am not quite sure that I make a lot of money with them but oh well, for me it is about having fun and sharing with those that want to know!

I started my blog sometime last year and I just wanted a central place that I could just put the links that mean something to me in one place. I didn't start to "publicize" my blog until just a few weeks ago when I had so many upcoming specials I want to share so I learned about "tweeter" and I just shared my links with the ladies in the groups that I am a part of.

I am glad that you thought my blog was refreshing, that is great to hear! I love my plumeria picture and I am hoping that when people see that beautiful picture they will know that is me!

Anyways, if you ever need my help in walking you through creating a blog, let me know and I will be more than happy to help you out! Mine is still definitely a work in progress! Email me and I will give you my number!

I just checked out your blog and was also very impressed. Can I get in on this deal, too. I am a writer and the only thing that I have to promote is my website and my poetry at the moment, as I'm waiting on the illustration of my first children's book, before I can really start promoting it, but I would really like to do a blog. I think I even have the means through my windows live spaces, but don;t have the fainest idea on how to set it up. I really liked that you had musical selections on yours. That is such a good method of setting the mood you wish to inspire on your site. Maybe you should consider teaching blogging as another profession. Angel1; ▶ Reply to This

Being a writer and coach it's the perfect way to reach out to people.
Not only does it offer information, I think blogging makes you more real to folks.
Blogging gives me the opportunity to share with people on several levels at once.
I can let them get to know me better and tell them about my personal and business life, which if really very connected.

As a spiritual healer/life coach and writer, everything I do comes from a place of expressing what I am understanding at this moment in time.
I use my healing knowledge to create jewelry and other products as well, that combine to create an energy beneficial to the wearer.

I have just started adding these to my blog as "pages".
It's an interesting process.
