Every business has ONE primary product or service that stands just a bit taller than all the rest that are available through that business.

Question: Which of your products or services is the O N E ?

If you could only offer one to your Clients/Customers, which one would it be? And Why do you pick that one?

I'll show you mine...if you'll show me yours. :-)

Mine is: Relocation Services

I own and operate two real estate services brokerages. One provides local community direct service to those who are buying or selling residential property.

The second brokerage provides Clients with Relocation services when they are moving to a new community.

1.) As a licensed direct real estate Broker, I can provide service to buyers, sellers, investors, property managers, businesses acquiring facilities, and so on. Each of these services would be offered within a service territory that would allow me to personally serve each Client in the midst of buying or selling.

2.) I am also able, through the Relocation services brokerage, to serve Clients who are moving to a new community, virtually ANY community.

This second service, Relocation assistance, is THE ONE in my estimation I would choose.

I love being able to be of great service to people all over the country! AND, I love the fact that if one of my Clients and friends here in Vancouver that I have been able to personally serve for years, decides to move to another community...

I can still be the one they call when they need service, answers, a second opinion, and so forth. I don't have to ever lose a Client simply becaue they moved to another town!

I do primary market research and strategy/tactics new growth consulting and have essentially picked the latter as the ONE. Having grown tired of seeing too many clients not use what they learned from the research they paid dearly to have, I decided to only do research for long term clients and then only if it doesn't conflict with planning assignments. They can decide not to pursue the strategies and tactics we develop together but at least the deliverable is clear; agreement as to the best course of action. And when they do what the plan says and things go well . . . that's what it's all about.

Research is an integral part of assisting my relocating clients, but most of the time, it's more like treasure hunting! It's amazing to be able to take on the task of finding great ways to surprise new Clients with the kind of information, contacts, and on-going assistance that makes a real difference in how confidently they're able to make their move from one community to another.

I know what you mean about the frustration you feel when Clients that you've worked so hard to serve don't end up applying what's been provided. It's always a disappointment when any Client drops me like a hot potato after they've moved, when they can so easily keep me as an on-going resource, but hey...that's part of it. Fortunately, most keep me around!
