I think most people who ask for funding have good intentions. They must learn that it is a business and other people take their own money just as serious as they do their own.

Some people think investors just have extra money laying around. They are investors because they have learned to put their money to work.

If you really want it, do your homework. Put together a well thought out - well researched business plan. Tell investors and grant makers(foundations) what you will be doing with their money.

Investors want a return on their investment (ROI)and if you don't have a plan for them (exit startegy), then you don't really have a plan for you either.

Foundations also want to know how their money is bing used to make a greater impact on society. So they want to hear a little more than "I have a dream"....they too want to hear "I have a plan".

Success is intentional. Plan for it.

Jeffrey what I find truly amazing is that when I tell people what they have to do the get funding for anything, 100% of the time they say to me if you do it for me I will pay you when I get the funding. I just can't believe the nerve of someone saying you get me the money and I will pay you from the money you get me.

It amazes me how many people talk about raising capital for their business but most don't want to complete due diligence required and/or worse try to dictate terms apon investors/funders. for every 100 visitors we get only about 3% actually have a BP blan that includes an exit strategy and assets/revenue streams.

David, I agree with you that indeed charity does begin at home. I have a belief that the world is and always has been abundant. Do you realize how many living beings are sustained by the oceans alone. My proposal is that we work together to create a network of synergy. Everyone has to pay their bills, including charities, so why not empower them to be part of companies who can help them reach their goals and maybe make life better for people who are willing to give from their heart and soul the way you are?

That is my vision.

I believe in the fact that charity begins at home. Back in Dec 2004 I did use the last £100 on my credit card to donate to the Tsuami disaster though. They just needed it more than me & it's as simple as that. It was the last proper donation to charity I've made. Now I must sort out my own 'western / 1st world' financial problems before I can do more to help the 3rd world problems.

Just why is it called the 3rd world anyway? I believe the human race first evolved in what we know as Africa & moved to other parts of the world afterwards. It's just plain old evolution that is the reason for different skin colour or 'race' as it is referred to these days.

If you will put your comments in the form of a discussion it will be easier for people to respond to what you are talking about without getting lost in a long line of comments. So if what you want to say about what you are doing is apart from just the general group comments start a discussion. That way when people look at your opportunity they do not have to search through hundreds of comments.

So think of your discussion as your presentation.
