Christmas Or Xmas are but words. Funny though, each has a different meaning.
I just spent the last 8 days traveling around the country. I watched as people went to work and then off to the malls and shopping centers to see if they could get a super deal on gifts for "You Guessed It"Christmas Or Xmas.
For Christians around the world Christmas means either the birth or conception of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. We think thoughts of joy and happiness knowing full well that God loves us and has given us a way back to Him through His precious Son His Word.
For no Christians and people that have no faith Xmas is their holiday. They get time off of word as do we all to celebrate this special days, but there is no signfigance attached to this day other than to bring happiness and joy to their families through gift giving.
As for me, I am a Christian man that knows through studying the Bible the day that Jesus Christ was concieved. This day is December 25th 4BC. I celebrate this day as Christmas each year. The word Christmas comes to us from the folks at the Catholic Religion. Christmas means: Christ translated is Annointed and mas is Mass. So we have Annointed Mass as the tranlation.
So now, lets hear from some of you out there. What does Christmas/Xmas mean to you?
