I decided to join because I feel I am a well of information on survival. I may not have alot of business sense, but this could be a starting point to glean what I need. Thank you for inviting me in. I appreciate it.

You are so right, Deanna, about going back to school. It was somewhat scary in the beginning as I didn't know how I would fit in with a class full of young, energetic people and instructors the age of my sons and daughters, but it was one of my most memorable experiences, and the first semester I received a 4.0!! At the end of most classes, the instructors told me they were glad to have me in the class, because my life experience added another dimension to what they were teaching. I would suggest to anyone who is interested in going to school to go! Things we think we know have changed and we need to keep up with the changes. There are programs to help with books and tutition and counselors to hold your hand. (smile) I thank God for the opportunity.

Hi Paris,
Thanks for the invitation. One of my favorite quotes is "Inside of every older person is a younger person wondering how the got there" Thanks for commenting on my post.

You are to be admired for going back to school at 60, I just found out you can go to college after 65 and not have to pay tuition. I'm not sure if that is true in all states. but for those over 65 and wanting to complete a degree it would be worth checking into.

God Bless
Deanna

Hello, Everyone,
It is great to have you guys getting so involved in this group. I am very proud that you took the time to share what was in your heart with the rest of us. Although all of us have our own paths to follow, we are in this life together and we never know where we might find the answers we seek. Keep up the good work. Paris

Hello Paris, I came aboard you know that I want to follow your lead. So as you mentioned it's good for the young at heart too. Glad to be with your team. I'll be looking forward to become even more wiser.

Oh, Mary,
I thought about this later after I made my first comment, but take this opportunity to continue to learn and enjoy life. You have fresh new eyes to show you what life is about for this generation. When my 20 year olds were teenagers, I learned many new words, listened to new music, danced new dances and tasted new foods. I know most older folks feel the only way to relate to the young is to complain and fight with them, but they be the ones who will have to take care of us later, so we had best try to be friends with them now. Besides, hanging with the young will keep you young.(smile) So enjoy your step-daughter now, it doesn't last forever. Soon she will be all grown up and on her own, but what you do now will determine if she will come back and bring your grandchildren to visit. You don't want to miss out on that pleasure.
