New Place To Post Your Book Videos!

Good News!

If any authors here have video trailers for your books there is a new, FREE, advertising venue!

I just received the following email the other day (See below). At first they didn't have a category (or "channel" as they call it) for books. So I wrote to them requesting that they add a "Books" channel and Tyler (one of the site's proprietors) kindly jumped on the idea and made it happen. I think the concept of this new site is quite good and I can envision it becoming a centralized location for readers to find video trailers for all kinds of books! This could be big.

You are receiving this email because we would like to let you know of a new video-sharing website that we have put together. It is designed for advertisers to show their videos and promote their products or services. Please take a minute to read the e-mail. Thank you in advance.

Unlike youtube, or any other video-sharing site for that matter, urtaggs will be devoted to the marketing/networking of small businesses, organizations, politicians, and musicians. It is our hope that by eliminating the clutter of non-meaningful home videos, we can create a new portal for businesses to network themselves to other businesses and potential new customers.

We believe that a good way to get urtaggs rolling would be to first contact as many businesses that have already created videos advertising their product. We would like to extend an offer for you to use urtaggs to host videos related towards the operations of your company. It could be a general message to customers, information on a new product/service, or anything else that you feel necessary. Hopefully, if enough traffic is generated and accounts created, then urtaggs will become yet another option for effective, but free, advertising.

In regards to the state of the economy that we find ourselves in today, there is no reason not to indulge in any form of free advertising. Youtube generally frowns on their videos advertising a service, but that is exactly what we are wanting people to do. What better way is there to “be seen” – which not incidentally is our slogan – than using a system that is accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world, as long as they have a computer and an Internet connection? Online video sharing is the future, and we hope to bring that to you now.

Using urtaggs is simple, just create an account, upload your videos, and you're done! Everything is completely free of charge, we profit from the ads that we host, not the customers that we serve. We hope that you take the time to at least take a look, and hopefully you won’t be disappointed.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments, concerns, or even suggestions about our new endeavor. By first contacting the businesses that have proven they want to be seen, we hope to create a relationship where we can work together to build a system where we can meet as many needs as possible.

Here is a short list of what we would like to accomplish in the future:
- iron out all minor problems with the current script
- finalize the paperwork for LLC organization
- develop new ways for site monetization (possible auction system for
inclusion into featured video category)
- update server size and bandwidth limits
- new, fully customized script
- become the leading video networking site for businesses

This will all be very tough to do, not to mention time consuming, but with your support, we feel like this can be a huge success.

PS – If your company does not have a video that can be uploaded, it is easy to create a short slideshow that highlights the details of what you do. Windows Moviemaker, apple iMovie, and even PowerPoint can do this. If you would like help, just ask!=
