I grew in a struggling family where my parent has to work hard to raise us. Those days it is normal in Malaysia to have many kids. Since we are a big family, most of the time I have to look after my brothers & sisters when parent is not around. After primary school, I was selected to go to boarding school, meaning I have to be away from my family until school holiday.

School holiday is the period where I really look forward especially the first time being away from family. I miss my mum, father and all my brothers and sisters very much. To reduce the missing pain, I normally list a plan what to do when I meet them during school holiday. The first list was always, to ask mum to cook my favourite foods, share with them my experience of being away, my new friends and so many things.

But, when the holiday came I end up most of my time only with brothers and sisters. I only get to see my parent in the evening when they are quite tired to hear my story. The situation keeps going until I graduated. With the size of my family, I don't blame my parent but I appreciated them for what they've sacrificed for us. Deep in my heart I know they must have wished to have more time for my brothers, sisters and me.

With that experience, I always think and say to myself, life should not be that way all the times. I never wanted my kids to have the same experience I had. There must be a way or ways where you can still work and at the same time stay close to your love one.

Now that my father had passed away & left mum alone. No doubt she live in a "kampung" (village) with a very good neighbourhood but as a daughter I feel responsible to be with her as often as possible. The only possible way for me to stay close to her who stays 300km away and at the same time have my business running is through online business. It gives the leverage for me to run my business anywhere I wish and with love one around particularly my kids.

Online business also gives me the opportunity to meet and share with people around the world. I look forward to meet more friends and reading more stories.
