Best thing you can do is just dive in and start communicating with others.
My own success online has come from my posting so many blogs and discussions here on Sta.rtup.biz. I also spend ALOT of time posting messages on members’ pages as well.
Every time I do I try to share helpful non sales related info prospects can sink their teeth into. By doing so I establish my credibility and expertise all in one swoop. After that people flock to whatever link I am promoting.

I'll say welcome from the US. This seems like a great place to network. I have never been to South Africa, but it is in my plans for the future, because my company is involved with a research & development company that just opened in South Africa. It will be a great opportunity there.
