I am 72 Years old. I served 25 years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in United Kingdom, Iceland, Italy, Vietnam, and Spain. My duty stations were:

Naval Station, London, England 1956 to 1959
Naval Station, Keflavik Iceland 1960 to 1962
Destroyer Division 601, Key West Florida in 1962
Naval Investigative Service Office, Naples, Italy from 1962 to 1966
Naval Investigative Service Office, Seattle, Washington from 1966 to 1969
3rd Coastal Zone Intelligence, Cat Lo, Vietnam from 1969 to 1970
VQ-2 at Rota, Spain from 1970 to 1974
Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach. Virginia in 1974
Operational Test and Evaluation Force Detachment, Sunnyvale, California from 1975 until I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1980.

After retiring from the U.S. Navy I worked for GTE in Mountain View, California from 1980 until 1994 when I took early retirement to spend time with and care for my grandchildren.

My first marriage was in 1960 in Keflavik, Iceland. My second marriage was in 1983 in Mountain View, California. My present wife and I have six children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchild. I have continued to work part time and provide bookkeeping and office support to a company in Palo Alto.

My real passion in life is to write and help other to learn how to write. In this regard I have published many blogs depicting my life and I have titled these articles "The Life of Carl".
