My name is Chris Tatevosian., I have had MS for 29 years and I have recently written a book that I want to share with as many people with chronic illness especially autoimmune diseases like MS, as I can. Folks need to hear and benefit from my real-life story dealing with relationships and MS. When I was going through my divorce my life was full of fear and concern that I would never meet anyone that loved me again. After spending countless hours in MS chat rooms, reading numerous posts on MS related message boards and joining an MS support group, I was astonished to learn how big of an issue this is for so many of us with MS, I took it upon myself to write this self-help memoir, literally making my life an open book in an attempt to help others avoid making the same relationship destroying mistakes that I made. This is my real life story and it's not always pretty but it's real and written to help others better deal with the stresses put on relationship as a result of life being interrupted by MS or chronic illness in general.

Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me, by Chris Tatevosian Addresses Relationship Issues and MS

While a freshman at Johnson State College in Vermont, Chris Tatevosian was diagnosed with MS. He graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a minor in Chemistry. For seven years, Chris was an analytical chemical technician before becoming an occupational safety coordinator/consultant.

“My disease was relapsing remitting up until 1990,” Chris says. “That was the year I began dating the woman who would eventually become my wife. Everything was tremendous until I suffered a major exacerbation in May 1993, at which time I became disabled and unable to work. After several difficult years, we were divorced. It was one of the darkest times of my life.”

In his recently published book, Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me (available from Tatepublishing.com and Amazon.com), Chris shares the details of his life with MS before, during, and after his first marriage. This candid memoir examines the ways in which the author’s destructive attitude and inability to cope cost him his marriage. Chris hopes his story might help others make more of an effort to communicate effectively with their loved ones and not allow disability and low self-worth to destroy their relationships. Chris also writes about his faith in God, his experiences with bee venom therapy, and his fiancée, Jane, to whom he is now married.

I would love to share my story with others dealing with MS or any chronic illness whose life has become strained because of life being interrupted by this disease causing one person to become disabled and another to become the caregiver. I know that my book can help everyone dealing with this situation.
